Yeah, arguably the most significant FA signing since Shaq was Ron Artest in 2009 Other than that it's been a mishmash of the likes of Ron Harper, Samaki Walker, Aaron Mckie, Vlad Rad, McBob, Boozer, Deng, Mozgov, KCP and one year of Karl Malone and Gary Payton. I myself have been pretty jaded by the FA failures of the Lakers in recent seasons. Sure the situation is more appealing now than it has been but would it really be a surprise to the Lakers if they didn't land any of the marquee free agents? In the end, I'm "cautiously optimistic"
I know man, I know. But me, I’m ready to get hurt, I’ve put myself out there. I’ve said it (and posted it) before, and I’ll do it again
Lol I feel you man. But forreal...it's ridiculous that we still have to worry about PG13 potentially re-signing with the Thunder. It really shouldn't even be a question but PG13 is making me doubt all of that with his comments and his recent paintballing hangout with Russ....I know i know it's off-season but I guess his Disneyland and making of the baby's bed in LA was encouraging for sure. And his girl is totally LA...she don't wanna be in OKC.
He hasn’t said anything recently that he hasn’t said from day 1 of arriving in OKC. He’s been PC PG since that day. The paintballing thing, I already forgot it even happened. If anything it seemed like a goodbye buddy activity to me.
That's true. I really hate PC PG but maybe he's smarter than we think. He obviously wants to avoid any more tampering charges for his new team aka Lakers. If that's the case, then PC on PG. I just want him to sign with us quickly so we can use him to recruit LeBron and also quickly re-sign Randle whether LeBron comes or not (and we have a small window to achieve all of this).
And OMG look at this one .... Quoting your gal I want this Kobe bad! We need a bat signal for sirron. Where is he and what does he think?
My view is exactly the same today as it was the moment I heard PG was traded to OKC last Summer: I'll believe he re-signs to spend his prime in friggin OKC with chucker Westbrook when I see it. I suppose it's possible, but I sure as heck ain't betting on it. Pretty confident the Lakers are in a great spot to land him. We shall see.
Kawhi too? Let it rain... What about the concern of possibly having too much overlapping talent? A nice problem to have, but a legit concern. BI, Kuz, PG, LeBron or Kawhi, there’s only one ball. Pun intended.
