Bam! I agree, totally. But I argue that happened after giving PG a tap in the back.

    Yes...

    but also no. :D

Look it's a new age. These guys want to be coddled and they want to be fawned over a bit. More than that, they want to hear the plan, but certainly they're all ready to feel loved by the franchises trying to woo them to join.

In the end, he's right: it'll take a guy willing to make that leap. Is that guy out there this summer? I hope so. And when the time comes I hope Kobe can put in a good word and not try to oversell the bravado. We need Paul in the fold.

They don't build them like they use to. PG is part of this generation and I'm sure he's going to want to be woo'd a little bit. But the most important thing to bring PG into the fold is to make sure we can bring him a worthy teammate. It doesn't seem to me that George wants to be the "man"...instead he wants to a major contributor for a "ring".

That being said, PG would be a fool to stay in OKC, cause that team will not be getting any type of help next season. All they will have at their arsenal is the tax-payer MLE of 5.4M to sign 5 players with. The way OKC progresses in the postseason should tell PG enough about how realistic this OKC team is as a legitimate contender moving forward.

He has been pretty candid about playing off another guy. What better guy than LeBron, right? I know we're all biased Laker fans, but the smoke is thick.

Oh man they don't make them like they used to. Miss you Kobe. All this talk aside, I do hope when summer comes around, Kobe will help us nail down Paul/Lebron.

Feels like we are still in the punk b**** era of sports, and maybe society at large. Kobe is right. Like Kobe told IT, Be the Lion. There’s a lot of talent and skill in the league, but I want someone special on this team to just step up to lead and become a champion.

I'm ready for an all out celebration or an epic meltdown within these parts this summer.

We’ll make it back on top, but there is no single way to get there. If we don’t land Stars this Summer, I actually don’t think I’ll be phased a bit.

I’m numb to that now, but at least the scouting Dept has given us hope that we can grow organically as well

With all the Kuuuuz cheers in tonight's Rising Stars game, it's safe to say there will be a "We Want Paul" zoo chant on the 18th.

With all these articles crossing the border of basketball, it'll be a riot when he does come home. Not that he isn't a star in his own rights already but his popularity is gonna blow up 1st day he becomes a Laker.

His only problem is from there then on. Every single game, his performance or lack thereof will be examined under a microscope with expectations close to high if not impossible.

But, PG is definitely up to the task. That guy is so skilled and is just a smart b-ball player. He gets it. In my mind, the Lakers need to make PG priority #1 over LeBron or anyone else.

"It wasn't much about partnering up. It was more so just about building a bond, building a brotherhood."

Oh yeah his mind is totally set in stone to stay in OKC knowing that LBJ is leaving Cleveland.
