Well, Boogie's injury pretty much assures we're not trading for him before the Deadline..
    I'm not disappointed though.

Why not? Maybe we can get him cheaper...hes young enough n being this early in the season, he "should" be done rehabbing by start of next season

I’m not sure that’s true, not that I think we were going to try to anyway. But if anything I’d think the injury makes the Pels more open to offers for him.

If they're serious about the Playoffs, maybe they decide it's more important than keeping him... but it seems to me that they'll now just take this roster into the summer and hope to re-sign him with maybe four years instead of five years.

Our hope has to be that OKC isn't going to pay the tax to keep all 3 players together this summer; Pincus said he has a contact within the OKC organization, he he's adamant the Thunder will not pay any luxury tax whatsoever...

I guess we will have to see...

Cousins is out of the running now for me. I want nothing to do with a trade for him until I see how he recovers.

But I hope Leonard rumors get worse until San Antonio has to have a fire sale like Indiana did. I’d take a risk on him.

Not if they don't take Deng as well. Guy's a mentor and a role model...

Hopefully it will be Lou who deserves it and from the host city so PG would leave OKC

Just to echo the sentiment, I think Boogie is now out. It's really sad for him to have this happen in his contract year, but we can't be a charity and give him money because he would have gotten it before. We've already signed one dude off of a torn achilles to a ton of money. Let's not do it again.

You'd take a risk on the best (when healthy) player in the NBA? How mighty big of you... :Brows:

I think today’s injury to Roberson is a killer blow to Thunder’s minuscule chances to beat GSW. And drops them down from the level of the rockets.

Their perimeter defence is what made me so bullish on them in the playoffs. Having the ability to throw Roberson and George at Curry and Durant was something no one else in the league had. And we’ve all seen Roberson eat Harden alive in the playoffs.

In my opinion, today, they’ve gone from one of the nba’s best defences to a top 10 defence only. That’s not good enough to get it done, might not even be good enough to get out of the first round if they land Minnesota.

Unless Presti swings a trade for a positive defender, like an Avery Bradley, Wes Matthews, Courtney Lee or even a Will Barton before the deadline - their only hope is Ferguson becomes a stud in the next 30 games.

Edit: I suppose they could also try and go ultra offensive and look at Tyreke Evans or Lou Will...
