See @Khmrp suggestion... I'd throw that at Presti. Play hardball, this is ALL you're gonna get, take it or leave it.
I really don't think it's going to happen. I'd do something more in line with what emplay suggested: KCP/Randle or Randle/Clarkson for George makes sense for both sides. Losing Randle would hurt, but having George in our hands changes everything about this summer.
I know but what the hell give it a shot. I like the Randle/Pope combo. We have Hart and Clarkson as insurance already. Nance will have all the time at the 4 spot.
They cant afford to resign kcp if he still on mindset of nearly max $....also dont think okc wants to pay tax for a guy like randle, at least with nance they get someone cost controlled for 2 more years n jc is better than anything they have now coming off the bench
I've actually read all the posts above. Word for word. Taking a major risk is part of why jackpot winners win big time. But screw risk if we can get him already. Outside our young LA3, put a tag on every other player that says available for a trade. Just take your pick and you've got yourself a deal especially since Deng is not going anywhere anyway so no significant use of keeping any of them. I can see LNJ to significantly get better at his role and be more valuable on a better LA Lakers team. Think of what Dray is without great scorers and players like Klay and Steph. When he get to play with those caliber-type of players, his dirty works in the paint and in the defensive will further develop. On the other hand, both Kyle and Brandon will then be recalibrated to smart shot selections once the A-Listers arrive. It'll be insane to think of how good our 3-4 will be if both PG and LBJ decide to don that P&G next year. Them two with Kyle, BI and to some degree Larry. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
Agreed. Their bench is pure garbage. Watch them tonight and just see how hard their bench will try to squander whatever lead they may have. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
KCP is extremely unlikely to see that payday when there's not a ton of cap money to go around. His best bet is signing a short-term deal and opting out to get a big paycheck with the team he's with in the summer of 2018. Better to have Randle/KCP than to have literally nothing if George walks. This is the same situation as Pau Gasol was for us. Why would they settle for two worse players? They're still trying to make noise in the playoffs even if Paul George is moved.
Losing to both LA teams in this b2b sched which would put them @ 20-19, 7th or maybe even 8th again in the western conference should be enough to shake that firm "seeing it through" position that we think they have. An injury(not that I wish it) to either Melo and especially Westbrook and we can start announcing more untouchables in our team. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
They'd be better w/o melo lol....people were proclaiming okc would get olympic Melo when trade went down lol
the most okc can give kcp is the tax mle, id have to believe kcp can do better even with his poor plsy thus far...n again does okc really want to pay luxury tax for randle?
As ever, we'll have to see what happens with those guys in the playoffs. If they lose in the first round or get trounced in the second round by GSW I don't think that will be trending upward.
I’m not optimistic, I feel like after years of hoping to land multiple premier free agents, we have to see the writing on the wall. I see no reason why any needle movers would join us - currently we are one of the worst teams in the league. People bring up Miami as proof it can happen, but how many times before and since has that happened. That was the exception to the rule, Lebron had his best friend Wade in Miami who was playing at MVP or thereabouts level.
we saw it before we signed mozdeng. then the knew guys came in and were like: it just hasn't been attempted by the right people!
