There were instances OKC was trying to play though PG with WB and Melo on the court. PG dribbles the ball across and then he makes one pass, ball stops. Then back to iso. Even my 7'yr old nephew can draw better plays than Billy Donovan. I couldn't be more happy he's horrible! Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
Shall we start discussing possible new player rotations or wait for a couple more losses. They're facing Twolves and Spurs next. They're on their way to 8-14. And WB stinkeyed PG? Oh, that can't be good. I mean, that's good. Really really really good. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
Come home Paul, you could be our franchise player. The Savior of Los Angeles. You're too good to be playing with 2 ball hogs.
Bottom line: the game OKC plays is not fun. It's not team ball. It's way too top down beginning and ending really with their franchise player Westbrook. PG would always be number two on that team. ALWAYS. And he won't have a good time doing it either. PG really needs to look at this Lakers team and grab his chance here. We are desperate for a go to guy and that's what he wants to be. In addition, we play a fun, entertaining game here with ball movement and good young talent to surround him. Lonzo, Kuzma, Ingram. Honestly, I would let Lopez go and keep Randle as starting small ball center, too. I'm not even sure we need another max agent to go along with PG. No we probably wouldn't contend next year, but the following one? I think we could. We've got a lot of upside and I don't believe OKC does.
Oh, if he's watching them during their preseason games, he's definitely doing a lot more than just 'looking' now especially with the way things are turning out for him in OKC. OKC folks are already starting to thank George for coming over even if it was just for a short while. Because they're calling it, he's good as gone! And yes, about the alpha guy on the team, I don't think he'd take it. His teammates will gladly just hand it to him. When was the last time our bunch of young guys actually had someone they can genuinely look up to since Kobe? Nada. It'll be as exhilarating for them as it is for LA fans to see PG13 finally become a Laker. And I'm counting on that parade that was promised when that day comes. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
Only thing that "worries" me, is that PG played his butt off when melo was injured/out. They also won those games if im not mistaken. PG might think him and westbrook without melo might be a great fit with other role players. Other than that, I don't see why he wouldn't come home. He wants to be "the man". He's an LA kid and the system fits him. Ball/PG/ingram/kuz/randle/clarkson/lopez is a playoff team IMO.
Despite his shooting woes, this is a big reason we drafted Lonzo. He’s a player that other players enjoy playing with, unselfish as they come. It absolutely has to look appealing to George, and we know LeBron has praised him.
