    max's point is probably better, but any way you slice it, this was stupid.

    arguing that the lakers should have been smarter is kinda silly to me, as i'm certain they did nothing that 29 other teams haven't done. they just got investigated.

    unless it was brazenly obvious that magic or rob spoke directly to pg or directly stated we're going to sign pg to his agent, there was no way the league could take picks and ban pg from signing here. I would like to see the actual statement Rob made to Mintz, I'll be my house lots of gm's have made comments to players agents way ahead of their pending free agency.

    I'd guess the agent admitted to it. Unlike Pelinka, an agent can't / won't risk being suspended, fined, or banned by the NBA. That could be a career ender right there.
