    i'm late to the party:

    1. i think we have zero chance at hayward. he's going to boston or staying in utah.
    2. i give up both russell and ingram for an mvp candidate. and that's it. i give up one of them for an all star in his prime, but you get very little else of value.
    3. i'd focus on george. this feels dwight howard-y in that you know the lakers are in the mix no matter what anyone says, and this is problematic for other suitors and indiana.
    4. that said, i don't think indy is as under-the-gun as i'd like in this situation.
    5. i'd give up a 1-3 pick in this draft before ingram or russell, actually. hopefully, we get that, and it's what indy wants, and the whole thing goes down this summer.

no point in getting george and promptly drafting a 19 year old, imo. you're in or out on winning, and i don't think george signs up for...whatever the hell this has been.

people are expecting way too much out of 19 year old rookies, particularly after three years of watching (very talented) 19 year old rookies get absolutely blasted.

Right on. We've spent a few years here vetting young guys. Trading the guy who just dropped 40 makes no sense to me, nor does trading the wing who is scoring double digits despite no three-point shooting and working super hard on D. I'm all for adding talent, but I don't want to lose the guys we've seen show promise of being future good players. Ideally, George walks. If not, I don't want to give up much - Clarkson and a top pick as centerpieces is the limit.

Im sure you won't lol....to address abeer as well, i dont see much difference between fultz ball or dlo, dlo might be more rdy but just getting pg13 doesnt make us win now next season either. I still do not trust dlo personality, i dont question the skill though but i dont think theres much of difference in terms of the team makeup regardless whos at the lead guard spot next season. Who knows, if fultz comes in looking like dame his rookie yr then we might be better off, thats an alpha there

I mean, Lillard was 22. I see no reason why D-lo can't be that good in two seasons.

I think if we can get George in the summer without giving up too much, Blake Griffin takes a HARD look down the hall.

Say we trade Randle+Clarkson+Hou 1st for PG.

    Draft Lonzo.

Ball/Russell/PG/Griffin/Zu with Ingram and Nance off the bench?

A pissed off PG13 is a great thing. Bird has to be worried and looking at what he can get from Magic.

If I'm magic, i'm telling Luke to give Randle the greenlight. I want to see him putting up 20fga/game. Same for Clarkson, but he doesn't need to be told. Boost their trade value while Indy continues to displease PG13, meaning there may be a small chance in hell to get PG for Randle/Clarkson/Hou pick. Then we can trade the top 3 pick (if we keep it) for another star. Then, we sign Biff or Harward to be pipe-smoking playoff contenders. What to do with Dung and Moz though....

This Laker squad could do wonders with PG13 as a leader. He's older than the young guys and won't be afraid to speak up and be second guessed !

Bird might as well call up Hibbert too, I think he's wasting away on the Bucks bench?

1 of 3 things has just happened. Now we need the Lakers to get one of those top 2 pick. Then, Magic and Rob can call Bird and make him an offer he can't refuse.
