Cleveland has like zero picks to trade for years. Their only asset is Love, and they'd need a 3rd team to make PG to Cleveland happen. Something like the 3-way with Denver that was reported a few days back.
Haha and we can't get him with Clarkson or Randle and two late firsts in the deepest draft in a decade?
That would crack me up. Indy be like "Nah, we don't want Randle & 2 picks when we can have injury-riddled Gordon and a single pick, bruh."
the warriors kinda screw everything up in a way PG wants a ring, so why come to LA when he can play in boston or cleveland and actually have a chance of making the finals?
Stein, when pushed by Ireland, said he thinks Paul George is likely to be a Cavalier, but he sees the Lakers and Rockets and Boston (though he seemed to indicate they weren't as close as the others) would stay in pursuit as long as possible.
Eric Gordon? I know we overvalue our players a ton here, but there is no way that Clarkson and Randle is less appealing than Eric Gordon.
i'd love to hear indy justify taking eric gordon+future pick for PG instead of randle/clarkson+2 1st rounders if it happens
I know. I mean, I get not wanting to help the Lakers, but this pretty much encompasses the old "cut off your nose to spite your face" saying.
I can't do this anymore. I just can't...I need a nice cold shower and old clips of Kobe Shaq/Kobe Pau.
To be fair LVBD, Stein didn't say the deal was likely or even necessarily on the table, but that's where it would start. They've got no other real assets.
We're getting black balled here. Pretty sure PG's comments over the last year diminished any sort of leverage the Pacers had. Now they're willing to send him anywhere but the Lakers, even if it means getting less than the "2 picks + JR/JC" deal.
For what it's worth... Ramona on ESPN710 right now just said (and this is breaking as of right now) that Houston is still pursuing... With gusto... Really actually going for it... Carmelo Anthony.
