Cleveland or Spurs can withstand a rental. Look for a deal to Cleveland though. Makes most sense.

LA better jump in, going to a contender is bad news. If Lebron and PG are the plan for the Lakers, who to say the Cavs can't make it happen for the future and they already have their 3rd option in Kyrie.

I can understand how Cleveland (PG) and Denver (Love) benefit from this trade. What I don't understand is how the Pacer's benefit from this. What does Denver or Cleveland have that would interest them?

Paul George isn't staying in Cleveland.

If he wanted to be on a contender why he has been so hellbent on signing with the Lakers?

It's blatantly obvious there's more to just contending for a title for George.

The pacers hate for the Lakers is real, they would rather take scraps on the pennies from them then our pennies on the dollar. His agent already announced earlier this month that he doesn't want to extend in Cleveland, so this is only a rental. I bet they are going to lose both LeBron and PG after they lose to the warriors again

I didn't know you were best friends with PG and know what he wants exactly, my apologies. Thanks for keeping us all informed.

Never said I was. George's agent already told Cleveland he isn't staying long term so it's a one year rental.

I could see PG staying in Cleveland, gets a taste of winning and its all over.

Cavaliers would reportedly receive Faried and George? How the hell would they manage that salary cap wise?

If he's serious about L.A. and they don't win a title this year with PG in Cleveland, I think George should just be truthful and upfront when he gets there with everyone including fans. I will give it my all for Cleveland to win a championship. But I want to go home. I want to play for my home town Lakers and be close to family and friends after being away these years. Something to that effect. Strong message up front that he is a rental and it's not personal, he just wants to go home.

Of course if he were to win a ring there with LeBron and Kyrie that would pretty much f*** up everyone's plans wouldn't it?

I hope magic doesn't get desperate and trade one of our core players just to get George a year earlier. Trade jc for any pick(s) and offer them a unprotected 1st round pick and that's it

A lot changes in a year, Cavs could win it all if GS loses Iggy/Livingston, one of the big 4 gets hurt, etc. Don't let the 2018 FA plan, the FO and the reports fool you, we don't have PG right now, he's not GUARANTEED to come here, we are in no position to be arrogant and say PG is coming here for sure next season so whatever. It doesn't work like that.

Give me PG now, don't let him get a taste of what an actual contender is because it's easy to say hey I'll stay here 2-3 years and play in the Finals, LA isn't going anywhere.

So what do you suppose we offer?

They've already reportedly offered one of JC or Randle.

They're not offering Brandon or Lonzo.

Not sure what else the Lakers can do except offer JC and Julius, but the league isn't that high on those two apparently.

No Zu either. Good true big men are rare and love this kid. So no Lonzo, Ingram or Zu. Please. No really PLEASE.

I'd give them JC, Randle, Nance, any of our draft picks (Aside from Lonzo) and an unprotected 1st round pick. New FO doesn't have any connection with JC, Randle, Nance and we are trading for a superstar in his prime, I'm not concerned with our upside young players when a player of that caliber is on the table. Most likely JC and Randle won't be here in a season or two anyway.

7 footers with that kind of skill don't grow on trees.

We might just have the next Jason Kidd, Paul George, and Marc Gasol.

    I ain't trading that.

Well that's where we disagree. I'm fine with trading Randle or JC, but I see no reason to trade both and definitely not any of Ingram, Zubac, or Ball to acquire a guy who every indication and every report has been about his desire to sign with the Lakers.

Is it risk? Sure, but it's a bigger risk selling the farm for a guy you can just sign and will most likely sign in a year.
