The double-edged sword for the Spurs. If they are interested in one of your players, you absolutely keep them. If they are looking to trade one of their players, stay away.

Or a #2 pick. Then again their bad contracts are okay players.

I'm going to take a nap, wake up, and Paul George will be a Laker. Heard it hear first.

A little bit of me wants the Spurs and whomever to dump whatever for George, only to have him leave to LA next year.

i just don't see how he doesn't end up in LA at this point

most teams aren't dumb enough to give up anything for a rental and the teams that are interested don't seem to have enough to give up, with the exception of portland. but are they that confident that he'll sign with them?

I agree. Even if Portland trades for PG, what future is there with a team that is financially hamstrung? I'm confident he would still leave after 1 year.

I think the deal is already in hand, could take a few hours to process, and Indy giving last minute bidders one last chance to beat it.

    But he's coming tonight.

Seems like the Pacers are down to only three options: take the Lakers package, accept an inferior offer from another team, or keep PG for next season.

Logic says the Pacers will see the light and choke down the Lakers offer, but I still remain concerned that they might let their emotions get the best of them and accept an inferior offer just to spite PG and the Lakers. I don't think they would keep him, but then again, maybe they do just out of stubbornness since no one met their asking price.

Hopefully this saga ends in 2.5 hours. I do not relish having to wait throughout the entire off-season for a PG trade to materialize.

If I had to bet, I don't think he's coming to us in a trade, call it a gut feeling or whatever else. I say this because I just can't help thinking that another team decides to move the needle a little closer to what IND wants and instead of helping us right away they choose that other team.

If this becomes the case I will tell PG to stay healthy, stay out of trouble, and we'll see you in a year from now.
