PG's agent needs to let everyone know that his only desire is the Lakers and would be disgruntled to land anywhere but the Lakers
I think Portland might actually be a legitimate threat. They have 3 first round draft picks that they are looking to trade anyways. Plenty of tradeable players. And Lillard was campaigning for PG a couple weeks ago.
We knew this was gonna happen. Pacers were gonna wait till the last minute to try and drive up the price. Let some desperate team trade their assets for a one year rental.
How bad does PG want to be a Laker? I'm fine with keeping this team as is. I'd approach Houston as a plan B and trade for Ariza and Beverly to help them with cap space
i wouldn't be surprised at all if portland traded for him the question will be if he'd be willing to re-sign there. if they make the playoffs i don't see why he wouldn't, especially playing alongside lillard
For what? Be a treadmill playoff team? They're capped out. If he signs with the Lakers they have the flexibility to add another max free agent not to much promising young talent.
T-Minus 3 hours and those dang Pacers have got to be scrambling, trying to squeeze out as much as possible from any team willing to do so
We'll see how serious he is about becoming a Laker. I hope all this talk, leaks and reports weren't some major BS. We missed on some guys that were reportedly "Lakers bound". I can't take any more dissapointements.
So...if George continues to say LA or nothing, Portland is still going to give up all those assets just to finish behind the Warriors again?
I'm not worried... I believe PG will be in P&G by this evening. The Blazers could trade for him but that team will never be in the upper echelon on the Western Conference with that bloated payroll. PG would probably realize or at least his agent would inform them that the Blazers would be hamstrung for the foreseeable future.
Aldridge? Lol and why exactly would that appeal to a team looking to rebuild. They didn't want Kevin Love. Why would they want Aldridge?
