his defense is way overrated, purely rep based now.....i dont blame him for getting abused by SF who are 7" taller than him but on guards hes burned so easily

his d has slipped (and was never as great as advertised), but he's still a positive against guards under 6'5". he definitely rattled lamelo for good chunks of last night's game, too (he's kind of a sissy like his brother, tbh, which is funny given lavar's badass bluster).

anyway, still wide open to a bev trade.

 

I still don't like the guy, but Bev has shot 21-48 from 3 in his last 13 games. .437 % is definitely a welcomed improvement.

 

Yah, you probably thought starting Slava at the 4 in the 2004 NBA Finals would work out for the the Lakers too.

 

Meh..I would love to be debating the wisdom of playing Bev in the Finals.

Good lord NO and there’s zero chance of it since he was traded for mainly so THT couldn’t opt in at his salary next year.

 

i wouldn't put it at zero (feel like we kept bringing back rondo in ways i didn't expect), but yeah, it seems unlikely. all the more reason to trade him!

 

I’m also assuming Pat’s ego isn’t about the vet min it should be if it came to that.

i had interest in prince last summer, and he's not being heavily featured there. wonder if they'd give us something on top of him to get bev back.

bev/nunn for prince/kyle anderson works, and i'd definitely do that. get two 6'8" wings who are experienced but not yet old.

 

I'd do that as well. It would come down to how much they want Bev back.

 

really think it's a win/win. they get bev back, who was clearly well-liked there. anderson and prince are 6th and 9th in mpg there, and mcdaniels and edwards are clearly the future there at the 2/3, with mcdaniels heading for a payday quite soon, i believe.

 

Bev hurt the hip in Denver? We might need to hold on to Kendrick for a minute.
