My prediction: He will have zero impact on wins and losses and we'll have given up some young talent for this privilege
need to reverse the roles and minutes between him and reaves. bevs is a 15mpg bench guy, reaves is a 25-30mpg starter.
I tell you this much, each time AR touches the ball, he tries to make the right call. Sometimes he fails, getting stripped or some such, but he thinks the game -- you can SEE the thinking. Each time The Hobo touches the ball, I want him to choke on it.
bevs is neither skilled nor a particularly smart player. he tries hard all the time--and that is definitely valuable and uncommon--but he's just not a great basketball player. he needs to be deployed as an irritant/motivator who does some hustle stuff and then sits down.
We traded STANLEY JOHNSON away for this POS?! Maybe he has to work into regular season form. For the 41 games he'll play. He's not hitting shots. His energy isn't infectious. He's not defending better than any vet min PG we could sign today. He's over dribbling. Making poor decisions on offense. And his Laker debut he fouled someone every 15 seconds. Players didn't foul that much during hack-a-Shaq. Where's him backing up his claim that he was the missing piece in us winning the title last year? I hate him and if his game isn't going to do any talking then (LANGUAGE: NSFW) Spoiler: Ari Gold Gif NSFW https://media.tenor.com/isVF6G_AYG4AAAAC/get-the-f***-out-gtfo.gif
in fairness, stan is still sitting jobless, so it's not THAT big of a deal. but i'm not going to fight otherwise. i've never liked bevs, and he's done nothing to fix that so far. he was an anchor on both ends last night, imo. if he didn't have a rep, i think reaves and lonnie eat all his minutes.
Because most teams have multiple functional wings especially when the season starts. On our squad, if you squinted hard enough he looked like Bulls era Pippen out there compared to the rest of the roster. We cast out our only one because we like washed up elves.
yeah, i hated his inclusion in that trade, and it's one of the grounds upon which i think rob criticism is fair. he constantly loses on the margins. maybe none of them are that big a deal in the moment, but it adds up over time to where you're telling yourself lonnie walker's a starting nba sf.
