Who would have thought after all that happened last year, DAR/Young could (and in my opinion should) be the starting backcourt? Night and day from last year, amazing what difference a coaching change can do for players.

Remember, Nick Young is on this team and has the contract he does because D'Antoni was our coach and ran an open style on offense. As much as we banged on Nick, we couldn't expect him to be the player he was that first year with Byron doing Byron things. Nick looks like he's having fun playing the game again. I agree that he and DAR should start, let Clarkson come in and lead the second unit with Nance. All that being said we still got obliterated by GS. lol

I thought we fought hard. I think we gave them a little more than they expected, but obviously they're in a different weight class than we are.

They're Lakers 2010 (maybe 2009) and we're the Warriors 2010. Our time is coming.

Yeah we only lost by 11 and that's with the Warriors playing their starters the entire game and us with T-Rob and Yi to finish the game.

And only by 5 the first game with both teams subbing freely in 2nd half. :Magic Brows:

Clippers got blown out by like 50. Of course everyone hates those punks .... especially GS. I "thought" the Clippers played them a 2nd pre-season game (?) but went looking today to see what that score was and could not find a 2nd game. It could have been a brain fa ...... errr ....."Byron". :Fishwink:

    Swag Bowen? ha.

The Lakers are comparing Nick Young’s defense to Bruce Bowen and Kawhi Leonard

...well, at least the comments were tongue in cheek. In all seriousness, good to see that Young is getting his pro career in order.

Great job Nick. You are changing fans' opinions about you one at a time. I'm almost convinced...

I was a huge Young supporter up until last year.

I blame you all for making me doubt Uncle P. I will now pretend like I was a supporter all along lol

That is the craziest cat and dog and crow relationship ever seen on Lakersball.

This is all happening because the guy clearly has a ton of talent, but does not have a brain. If he was half as smart as Kobe, he'd be a star in this league.

Well...ya gotta consider who posted it. :) I happen to like both... :)>

On topic: either Young contributes well this season or ends up being traded before or on the deadline.

Nice strip and coast to coast lay in the third... For one game, Young tempered his shooting and one on one tendencies to concentrate on defense which he did alright. Let's hope he keeps it up. Young is showing enthusiasm. Russell looked for him off a breaks or off screens.
