    my money's been on a 2 expirings for one (expiring or potentially longer term, depending on player quality) type deal when the deadline gets here, which may open up both some wiggle room and a roster spot.

    but yeah, if smith really is a lou williams/monk type guy (i actually doubt this), we have avenues.

    That consolidation trade whereby Gabe and Kleber go out and bring back salary around 20m would open up another roster spot. That could be pretty useful in converting a two way and adding someone else on the buy out market too.
