Yeah, I know, but I couldn't pass up an opportunity to make fun of Rivers.

Man I'm watching this Miami/Detroit SL game. Don't get me wrong, it's awesome we got the #2 pick, but after expecting the #5 for so long and growing attached to Stan Johnson this kid is just a beast. A grown man out there. The Artest comparisons are apt. I hope he finds his way to LA someday.

The draft seemed loaded in the top 10, real. It's possible a few years from now we regret not taking any of picks 3-8, and pick 10. Sorry, not including Frank the Tank in that statement. Russell has some major expectations to live up to in LA.

I think this'll go down as one of those really great drafts. I think Russell, Towns, Okafor, Johnson, Hezonja, Mudiay, and Turner are potential All-Stars. Then guys like Kaminsky, Dekker, Jerian Grant, Winslow, Portis, Justin Anderson, and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson are all on that cusp as well. That's not even counting surprises or a guy like Porzingis.

When their rookie contracts are up, Jah and Stan need to make their way over here.

If Hibbert works, he'll be on the downside of his career by then. If we strike gold and get KD, he'll always need a defensive wing to cover up for his inadequacies.

Guess the tight spandex with the twinkly lights (motion capture suits) was no replacement for harder work coming into the draft and summer league. All that whining you did about not drafting him..... I just didn't see it. Never liked him much.

Philly vs C Bags on NBA TV right now.

Initially watching this game...the skills are there for Okafor. He has NBA skills. He could really stand to lose 15 lbs and improve his mobility and quickness...he looks laggy...can't tell if its effort or the big frame. He's usually the last guy to run back on offense. He actually seems to put effort in getting back on D.

2/6 FG 4 boards at the end of the 1st. 2 missed FT's.

    :D

He's still doing well, but he hasn't been a dominating force. Some of that is probably playing up in Utah and not being in great shape, but that can't be a long-term excuse. He's still relying on his size to rebound a bit. He looks kind of like Greg Monroe.

Agreed on the Monroe comparison. Difference being Okafor is more skilled....imagine if this dude had a legit NBA body!

No he looks pretty big to me. A lot of his buckets he gets just with putting his body on guys and finding the right angle. I'd like to see more of his footwork actually.

There's a pic of Jah and Joel training. Okafor looks like a little kid next to him... Joel is a monster though ;)

Oh I know he has a big body but he just doesn't look that tall. 6'10"? Do you think he's 6'10"?

Really? If you can find it would like to see. Is Embiid an honest 7 footer?

Yeah I think he's 6'10" but no he's not a legit 7 footer. Upshaw will be taller and longer than him.

    Is that really Embiid??

When he left college he was rail thin. That guy looks like a beast.
