Don't mind if any of the remaining 3 win. Pulling for the home team because we have had the s***tiest post season luck with every team--Falcons (F the Patriots), Braves, and UGA Football. Hoping a 'ship would break the curse. Plus if the Bucks are out, we have a better chance plucking away any of their FAs (like we did Wes)--Tucker, Teague, Forbes, Portis.
The longer these playoffs go, the more I am convinced that we would have easily won this year if Lebron and AD were healthy.
What a fun road to a championship for the Suns playing against injured AD and Bron, injured Kawhi, and either injured Giannis or injured Trae Young. Such fierce competition. If they do win it all, they'd be the weakest champions since the '78 Washington Bullets. But I guess a ring is a ring so whatever.
We also won last year against injured opponents. Somebody has to win and they played some games without CP3 or with him playing clearly injured. They have won their series fair and square and deserve to be in the Finals, they play very well. I don't get the hate
I just got back from a road trip through Cali and happened to be walking through LA live after the Paperclips went down 3-1. It was sexy. Then as I got home I found out the Clips did the Clipping and now im happy! Lets go Bucks!
Butler still played, Harden and Co. still played, Lillard missed ONE game, Jokic and Co. still played… What basketball league were you watching? “Somebody has to win” — that’s not even an argument. “They won fair and square” — yeah without Kawhi Leonard, one of the best players in the game who lead teams to multiple championships in the past.. did we forget or are we just choosing to ignore. But again like I said, a ring is a ring so I would still acknowledge it as a legitimate championship. I just think most playoff teams can probably wipe the floor clean with the Suns on a more even playing field.
if we lose trez, portis would be a great replacement. we were about to wipe the floor with the suns when AD went down. this year's playoff injuries are literally unprecedented. you can't just say "injuries happen" and wave away this year's particular weirdness. yes, they always happen, but again literally never to this degree.
Just on top of my head, Bam & Drago missed a few in the Finals. It was a walk in the park. It is an argument, because you're butthurt and just doesn't make sense to cry about injuries. They happen and are part of the game. There are no if's in history. If it makes you sleep better to think that, be my guest man. I just don't see the point
I don't hate the Suns or the Bucks or the Hawks for that matter. But the NBA did screw this up this year which will be proven by the facts of how many star players missed crucial games during the playoffs. It is kind of a joke. I am worried that it may have ramifications that last a few years and not just one year. It is more than reasonable for us to be talking about it on a fan site.
the lakers were already taking the heat to the woodshed when dragic went down, and bam was playing. it didn't matter. they were dead. we were up on the suns in game 4 and already had a series lead. and if you want to look up the stats on allstars missing playoff games this year versus any other, you'll want to rethink your argument.
That would be the perfect end to this weirdest of contending but non Lakers championship season …. considering the several really ugly other possible outcomes that could have happened.
Trae really just had nothing to give out there. Ankle had him very limited. These Middleton bursts have been back breakers. I was a little surprised at the lack of urgency from the Hawks from everyone but Reddish. Man, he really impressed me in the second half (on minutes restriction). He could be special.
