I think GSW was a harder matchup. Ham had to keep adjusting, and the guys had to play great to win. Vando and Rui weren't as playable this series, but they should be a lot more useful against Denver. Of course Nuggets offense looked good against Phoenix and Minnesota. Big deal. Lakers' defense against GSW and Memphis was far more impressive. Denver's offense can be good, but Lakers can defend them far better than Denver can defend Lakers. Let's get this one the same way we got these 2 rounds: take G1 and then just win our home games. can we bring dwight over from taiwan to play defense on jokic? i know AD is playing historically great on defense, but jokic is obviously far better than JJJ and looney. dwight's defense in 2020 was a big reason why the lakers won that series and unfortunately, they don't have anyone else on the roster now who can guard him
Kind of a weird question to ask 2 stars of this caliber and Lakers players, if you come here and it’s not a rebuild you know the goal is championship. If we don’t win, we don’t win, but there’s no playing with house money, the media hates us and will tear us down even as a 7th seed, and all the other fanbases are the same way.
Naaaaaah. “As Vando would say…..naaaah.” Love this team. Hated it early and last year. Beasely and Brown will get burn. We faced JA and Baine, and then Steph and Klay. Phenomenal guards. JJJ and Wig good players. But no post or “big” threats. Now…. Very different. Rui, TBJ, and Mo/Tristan will get minutes. D Lo and AR should put a lot of pressure on Murray and KCP too. Will be fun.
definitely. AD could handle him straight up for long chunks back then, and that's not true now. and that's no slight on AD, it's just that great offense individually tends to be great defense individually. add in that jokic is a great passer, and denver's just a handful to defend. probably as tough as gs but in very different ways. that said, i think we have the personnel to make it tough on their non-jokic players, and they have to defend us, too. should be another good series. and we ARE playing with house money, but i'm glad lebron and AD don't feel that way. you don't know how many shots you'll get, so go for it!
I think Green is crying to KD to come back. We shouldn't underestimate how low the Warriors will go to get them back to the promised land.
