Some choose to completely ignore the numbers.

A bit of deja vu is developing. We are looking at a potential Lakers/Nuggets , Heat/C Bags Conference Finals redeux. A Lakers vs Heat Finals rematch, would be an amazing storyline. A 7th seed vs 8th seed for the crown.

The Suns and Sixers could still spoil it tho.

I predicted we’d win it in 6 but it would be pretty sweet to wrap this up in five and slam the door on them on their court.

I just want LeBron and AD to get as much rest as possible by closing it out ASAP.

The amount of rest after beating GS could literally be the difference between losing in the WCC and winning the tittle.

Some of the media want AD and LeBron to sit out game 5 to be rested and ready for game 6

Agreed. We could definitely use the rest.

Stats like these do tend to tell an accurate story, but I always remember that a slightly wider net sometimes reveals an entirely different narrative. For example, hypothetically, Steph might be 99/100 on shots to tie a game with 30 seconds or less. Or an example we as lakers fans are familiar with is being down 10 with 90 seconds left and Kobe hitting 3 impossible 3s in a row, then missing the game winner. Stats would show 0/1 on game winners, ignoring the insane comeback. Clutch stats can be arbitrary when the dials are turned.

Yeah, Mason & Ireland are trashing Greenberg for it. I don't think it's ridiculous, and I've said it here before as a Hot Take. Said it before Game 2 and was right about it, and since we got thrashed so bad in the 2nd half, the guys got rest anyway so that they could come back and thrash GS in Game 3. Same dynamic going forward for Games 5 & 6.

It would never happen due to optics, fans, and there's always a chance, but I do hope that AD, Bron, and Reaves get rest early.

For those who find it ridiculous, imagine this hypothetical: for some reason, Games 4, 5, and 6 are all back to back to back. Would it really be a no-brainer to play AD & Bron back to back and most likely back to back to back in 3 games straight, esp after going 43 min each in Game 4? And after seeing the same dynamic play out in Games 1, 2, and 3? After seeing all that, would it still be absolutely ridiculous to rest AD & Bron in Game 5, while you hope everyone else can make it somewhat competitive and tire the Warriors out in a must win for them, and then AD & Bron to come back rested and destroy them in Game 6? Basketball-performance-wise, it's at least a discussion, right?

If you can see the logic to the above scenario, then it applies at least somewhat to the current reality, bc Bron & AD are dead tired and are saying so, and we saw what happens in this scenario already in G123. So again, it's not going to happen, but it's not ridiculous, and I just hope we don't get too tired out in G5.

Compilation of all of Steph’s playoff game winners

I’m not actually that serious here guys, I’m just having fun because it’s the playoffs. I used to do the same stuff to LeBron
