I picked Miami to beat Denver in the Finals in October. Looks like I might have been wrong on the winner.

Don't overrate coaching . It's all about your best players in the playoffs .

We would be in the Finals if Bron and AD were at their best against Denver whoever the coach was , Ham or Vogel .

Jokic and Murray outplayed Bron and AD , we got swept , plain and simple.

If Miami made some of their shots, like have been making throughout this run, it would have been a close game 1. They can still go down 0-2 and still make it a series by winning the next two. Don’t count them out yet.

...and yet James tried to get him canned in Miami. Riley relented.

I remember LeBron aggressively shoulder bumping him walking back to the bench during a timeout. Probably that first year when they started not great at all and didn't win. He of course figured it was the coach's fault. I think I recall he wanted Riley to come out of the FO and coach the team again. Good thing for the franchise Riles the Dictator had more juice than he did.

Nuggets in 5, although it's getting to the point where a lot of us can't remember when DEN lost a damned game. I write this on June 3rd. The last time a Nuggets fan had to suffer a loss was May 7th, a 5-point loss in PHO. Comin' up on a month. Nice run! Maybe DEN sweeps?

probably not. 2023 dwight is not 2020 dwight and jokic would've gotten a lot more calls than he did in 2020. i think ham should've played thompson on jokic more instead of rui. he did a good job guarding him in the limited minutes he played

but doesn't really matter when murray/KCP/brown/MPJ were making everything

Yeah, AC probably keeps Murray from going completely super sonic. That likely gets us a game. But we were not going to stop Joker. Not with TT (agree we should've found some more PT for him) or not with a 37 year old Dwight Howard. That's 6 quick fouls in Dwight in 9 minutes. You're not solving the Joker problem with a vet min player.

YEP! One of the burnt memories of us getting swept will remain those THREE times Jokic had the ball at the arc as their 24 was running down, and he's guarded, yet throws up a goofy, awkward 3 attempt that swishes. The 2nd time he did that I thought, "I don't think it was meant to be for us...just glad to have made the playoffs...fer crissakes that emm effer went in!" Then he did it a 3rd time. Totally not our year, but we turned it around, take the good with the bad, and blah blah blah...oh stop lying to yourself: you wanted us to win it all. An 18th to go one up on the damned Bags.

At halftime, weird game so far. Miami starters are beating Jokic + Denver starters, but Denver bench + Murray is destroying Miami bench. I think Spo has to limit Miami bench and have starters go all out and win this one if they want to have a chance this series.

Well... see what a difference coach makes? We got Pimple. They got a real coach.

Pisses me off, immensely. We could have been there. Or at least would have not been swept.
