Thankfully He's going to suck there too. I was briefly a bit concerned about Phoenix, now they have Mr "Come on guys". Lol..less concerned now.

I know what will happen …. you just keep moving the goal posts. A “top” echelon team just hired him. Scoreboard.

They made a mistake IMO. Their new owner leans on Zeke a lot I hear. Good luck with that too.

I know Spoelstra is great at making adjustments, but unless he has an adjustment that will make all of his Players grow 3 inches taller & put on 30lbs of muscle, I don't see how MIA has a chance in this Series... Maybe one game. I was gonna give 'em 2, but I doubt it.

We'd be making another one, resigning Beasley and Russell to keep.

yeah, vogel was the issue here. not the fact that the FO gutted a title winning roster to bring in westbrick. i'm sure that had nothing to do with the failure that was 21-22 at all

vogel is a far better coach than ham but someone had to be the scapegoat

The top 2 defensive teams in the NBA, both got bounced in the 1st round that season. That alone doesn't make him a great coach.

    Sheesh, this again?

We got bounced in the first round for one reason. AD went down. We dominated them before that happened. You’ve had that pointed out to you a few dozen times. You can be a solid site contributor but you’ve got a stubborn streak that at times blinds you to all reason.

That doesn't mean anything to me. We won a chip, because Lebron and AD were dominant and healthy period. It wasn't because of the defensive rating. I have pointed that out repeatedly. What happened to our great defense against Phoenix? They were great without AD and Lebron all season correct?

The formula hasn't changed either IMO. Where are the top 2 defensive teams from this season at right now? Sitting home watching the Finals. I never said that defense doesn't matter, I said that the hype on defensive rating, tends to get overblown.

they had the 3rd best defensive rating in 2020 and won it all. C Bags and warriors had the two highest defensive ratings last season and were both in the finals. suns and bucks were both in the top 10 defensively in 2021 and made the finals

but hey, keep ignoring the facts

That's part of the facts, but it wasn't the determining factor in any of those Finals
All those teams also had something else in common. Great players that could score on anybody...poor defense and great defense. You have to be able to consistently score the ball in order to win a Championship. None of the teams you mentioned were in the bottom half of the league on offense either. Or the middle fwiw.

Denver and Miami are the top 2 offensive rating teams in the playoffs.

Hell..the Lakers had the 2nd highest offensive rating in the bubble behind Utah.
