Today's NBA is so weak. If I was Kelly I would have gotten in the fight with him. Have some pride!

Artest was on EspnLA today and they asked him about that. His reply was something along the lines of "that was nothing, it's getting over blown, just a little elbow to the back of the head".

I read on another forum that he's always had maturity issues, which was one of the reasons why he didn't get his opportunity in the past. No idea how true that statement is though.

Kyrie just scored 57 points in an OT game against the Spurs, and it wasn't because of bad defense. Apparently, 30 of Kyrie's 32 attempts were actually contested shots.

I had a nice little argument with some of my Cavs friends today......

1st argument - One of my friends said this is the most locked in he's seen a player (Kyrie) since Lebron went off against the Pistons in 2007. I brought up Klay this year 13-13 and 9-9 3's in the 3rd quarter. He countered with he meant a game he's witnessed. He missed the Klay game and apparently many other games between 2008-2015. Which sets up the next argument....

2nd argument - Lebron James is the best SF defender in the NBA. Forget Butler, Allen, PG, Iggy and PJ Tucker. Lebron is better than them all.

3rd argument and biggest one - Kevin Love is a top 3 PF in the NBA
    - I put - Anthony Davis, LMA, Blake Griffin, Tim Duncan, Pau Gasol, Chris Bosh and Zach Randolph as better OVERALL players than Love.
    - Counter-argument - He puts up 17/10 on a stacked team
    - Counter-argument - Putting Chris Bosh ahead of Love is laughable
    - Counter-argument - You only dislike him because he plays questionable defense

    - My argument - If he's top 3 why is he getting benched all the time in the 4th quarter
    - Counter-argument - Because Blatt has weird rotations, look at Mozgov he's a top 5-10 center in the league and he's getting benched too.
    - Counter-argument - He held opposing PF's to the lowest PER last season

    - My argument - If he's top 3 why did Tyson Chandler call him out? He never could get Minny to .500 or to the playoffs.
    - Counter-argument - Chandler is stupid, who cares about him
    - Counter-argument - Since Kyrie didn't take his team to the playoffs, he's bad too?
    - Counter-argument - If he went to the Lakers you would be all over his nuts, if he was a FA you would want him

    - My argument - No, I don't care for his game and we have Randle at PF with other holes to fill at PG/SF/C
    - Counter-argument - You are stupid, you mean the Randle that puts up 2 ppg this season
    - Counter-argument - I guess you don't want Kyrie either? You got Jeremy Lin right.
    - Counter-argument - How can a 17-47 team not want the top FA prospect
    - My argument - Did you hear what I said about the other holes to fill part?

Mind you they have been ripping Love all season, except when you know, he's hot from 3 and has a good game.

I'm still waiting for the Kyrie or Love season injury and the tears that will follow.

    I know right?

I was at work so I didn't have a computer to check the stats they were throwing out.

    I do now.....

According to the opponent PER Love is the top PF defender. I randomly went through each team and found 25 players with a better opponent PER than Lebron.

That list has some strange names on it, is Lebron not in the top 25 defensive SF or is the stat misleading which makes Love number 1? Either argument 2 is flat out wrong or argument 3 is right. It can't be both, but according to them using the criteria they presented it's both.

    Lebron - 13.1
    Korver - 11.7
    MKG - 10.2
    Butler - 11.5
    Parsons - 12.6
    Gallinari - 9.4
    Ariza - 12.2
    Wesley Johnson - 12.2
    Melo - 12.0
    Durant - 10.2
    Gay - 13.0
    Kawhi - 12.6
    Derozan - 12.3
    Joe Johnson - 12.0
    Evan Turner - 12.2
    Stephenson - 12.6
    Mike Dunleavy - 10.8
    Marion - 11.3
    Aminu - 12.0
    Iggy - 8.6
    Nick Young - 10.1
    Jeff Green - 11.6
    Deng - 12.2
    Granger - 11.5
    Middleton - 10.9
    Giannis - 10.3

They sent me this link for Love being the best PF...

    http://hoopshabit.com/2014/10/16/kevin-love-best-power-forward-nba/

In that article is says Love is one of the worst around the basket defenders in the league. But he's the number 1 ranked defensive PF?

Something ain't right and it starts with the argument and criteria used.

And to further that I went through the opponent per for PFs for the 2013-2014 season.....

    Love - 14.2
    Taj Gibson - 13.2
    David West - 11.6
    Scola - 13.3
    Ed Davis - 13.8
    Ibaka - 14.1
    Patrick Patterson - 13.5
    Nene - 13.4

Love wasn't even #1, he was number 8.

Good stuff, Doc. Shines a light on a huge liability that Love brings to a team...

Rockets were leading by 1, Trevor Ariza turned it over to Blake (1st game back) but on the fastbreak as Blake absolutely barreled down the court, Trevor Ariza drew a masterful charge on him with 12 seconds left. Rockets end up winning the game. Great recovery play by Ariza, I doubt it will get much attention though.

25 free throws? Holysnikes. If he wins MVP it should have a ref added to it.

Kobe only had 18 free throws when he scored 81, what a looser.

yeah, the headline was something like "amazing harden goes for 50". i imagine trying to fashion a highlight reel out of this would be as deflating as making the 2006 miami heat title video.

    watch this awesome...foul...

seriously, this guy is about to have as many mvps as kobe and shaq.
