Yeah I think the Clippers are happy with these moves: they want shooting around PG and Kawhii so with the Morri and Ibaka moves pretty straightforward what they're planning.
Ibaka, Morris,PG, Kawhii, Beverly? to finish. From their point of view they can keep the floor spaced while not losing any individual matchup defensively.

That being said I don't trust Ibaka's age and he's had one hell of a weird career path. Looked like a potential star before the Harden trade (I think this is the under rated reason for that OKC move: they were trying replicate the Heat Big 3 and they thought they had it with Durant/Westbrook/Ibaka), then kind of became mediocre, and then re-vived his rep the last few years. His career path is someone who is a few years older then his listed age. I could see him breaking down/regressing

Except that Ibaka/Morris/PG/Kawhi/Bev lineup still loses to our AD/Trez/LeBron/KCP/Schroder lineup.

C-bags drove to the basket at will when Ibaka was at the 5 for Toronto ... Just saying

Sure but they couldn't even get past Denver last year: I'm assuming they feel much better with that Jokic matchup with Ibaka now. Baby steps lol

Also I don't know if the Lakers want Trez at the 4 as the finishing lineup. This would leave AD the 3 pt shooter as Trez to preserve spacing would have be the roll man.
Signing Morris for the Lakers is still very important

yeah, i'm not even sure he's the defensive anchor for which he gets the rep. again, doesn't move his feet well--crafty nba guards can beat that, size and vertical be damned.

jokic will chew ibaka up and spit him out just like he does almost everyone. denver wants no part of philly with embiid and howard, i'll tell you that. everyone else--they'll take their chances.

agree that trez won't finish games. our very best lineups will play AD at 5 and lebron at 4. probably with caruso and matthews and a wildcard based on matchups/gameflow. i'd like to keep morris, but there are lots of ways to play a few possessions.

Yeah great point, the downhill gravity towards the basket of Schroder/Lebron playing pick and roll with Harrell/AD, that's a lot for opposing front courts to keep up with.

Best way to guard Jokic? Put him on the bench. Then the slight decline in our overall size isn't a factor.

That also means we need to have adequate shooters to space the floor all 48 minutes. I hope we can pick up another shooter to add to the bench. Doesn't have to be accurate but just needs to be a threat we can find for the minimum

not sure if this was posted but i read a tweet that said because of Trez not signing that cha offer, it gave cha enough cap to make that stupid overpay over to Hayward thus effectively killing the SnT to indy that may have netted them Turner...so Trez already doing work on Bos lol

I'm most excited about this acquisition because it can blow up on our faces or we demolish everyone on our way to our 18th title

I know there were reports that Harrell didn't like that PG was getting special treatment from coaches/team leaders but thats how this league works with superstars. He's gonna be playing with AD and Bron and they get away with a lot hope Harrell coming in wises up on that.

From what I have read and remember, Harrell and George got into it during a playoff game because Harrell said George never takes accountability for mistakes. If I’m remembering right that was in other reports too, stars do get star treatment but he felt it was over the top with George. There was also Kawhi’s trainer calling Harrell a “double agent” on Twitter. I think that possibly makes a little more sense now after seeing at least one tweet that Harrell and LeBron would talk post game a lot and Harrell looked at him as a mentor, both Klutch clients.

how do you think guys like pat bev, lou, and harrell feel when they see kawhi sitting out games because he feels like it and PG getting special treatment from the coaches?

guys like that work their a**** off for years to make it where they're at now, only to see the star players getting to do as they please? it's no wonder that team had chemistry issues. lebron might be playing at 50% some games but you won't find him sitting out games for "load management." same with AD
