i'm ambivalent. he clearly brings a lot of his problems (on and off court) on himself. but he doesn't seem like a bad dude. like, grayson allen seems like a bad guy. just don't want him around me. trez seems like a difficult personality who has a lot of positive qualities, too.
Good read. Language warning. He's been through it. I really liked his energy and motor when he was here. He doesn't touch on his time with the Lakers in the piece. I'm rooting for him to get one more shot somewhere so he can go out on his terms. Love him calling out PG when he was with the Clipps. The two stars pinned it all on the role players, which was some BS. Looks like he just played in some little tourney somewhere and put up a 50 piece
was so mad when he was here that we didn't lean into a schroder/harrell pick and roll game as the second unit offense. even without that, he was a net positive on both ends, got votes for sixth man of the year, and put up 13/6 in 23mpg. he's another guy who took the blame for lebron and AD's injuries that year (along with vogel, kuz, kcp, and caruso). all those people did their jobs just fine, imo, but the house of cards was built on the big guns being available. harrell actually had a solid year after we moved him, too, but nobody cared because it was in washington (which i periodically forget exists). was not good in philly, then tore his acl at age 30. that's hard to come back from with his style of play. anyway, the narrative about him sucking here was false, imo. he basically did exactly what we asked for/expected. anyway, yeah:
he was exposed in the playoffs and basically unplayable being undersized for his position right? I think he's a great regular season player to eat up minutes, but once the elite teams do their thing, he's like the DLO of PFs.
What a fall. It's a shame. He's a regular season minutes eater. That has value, especially on the cheap
