He came here because he felt we could use what he could offer, but realized he was no longer the player capable of giving Toronto what they needed to get over the top. Interesting.

Well, he's smart. He's perfectly aware of what he can and can't do and which team needs what. We need his defense and passing, which is something he can still do at a high level. The Raptors needed him to score more, but the Lakers upgraded the scoring from the 1 and the 4-5 significantly, so whatever he can give us is dandy. Which is, realistically a couple of putbacks and a three.

He’s right, they probably needed him to be their 3rd best player behind Lowry and Siakam, where here he can be the 5th or 6th best player at worst and just contribute key things and help us win.

..... "a three" or more. And can "help" considerably eating some minutes with us not getting killed..... against the few really big men that will be tough on Harrell or anyone else we have except AD. Who we don't want doing it much during the regular season. Miss you Dwight you dweeb couldn't-wait-an-hour-bad-decision-maker. You don't know what you got till it's gone Dwight. The love of Lakers Nation again and incredible roster you would have been playing on AGAIN with LeBron, AD, the Eagle, Gasol, etc ..... vs ..... LMAO playing with Harden and Embiid.

Wooot wooot ..... stop this post. Left the page to double check Embiid's name spelling and what do I see but THIS. Who's spinning here? We tried to stay in touch multiple times a week to let him know we wanted him back ..... OR .....

Looking forward to the high-low action between Gasol and Davis. He is also not prone to stupid fouls...will not get baited into them.

Damn it, wrong thread. But between Trez's chase downs and Marc's positional D, I think we'll be OK. It's an adjustment to how we played last year, but we're a savvy championship team with the real DPOY, MVP, and COY. We'll figure it out.

We will miss McGee's intimidation and speed but Marc offers higher IQ and more stability. We get much older in the tooth with Lebron/Mathews/Gasol in the starting lineup but hopefully this opens this up for AD to do his thing.

Actually not much older. Wes is 34, Danny Green 33, Dwight is 34 about to be 35, Gasol 35 about to be 36. We are only a year older with each of those guys. Then of course we got a lot younger with Schröder and Harrell who are only 26 and 27.
