except Kobe could use both hands, even when he had lost the usage of a finger on that hand. TRUTH!!

My wife is literally a hand therapist and she was no less than amazed at his ability to play through his hand injuries. She thought, even when considering the possibility that the injury was a minimum level of injury for the particular problems he had, what he was doing was pretty much impossible.

So, there is that. Best concept with Kobe is to never except anyone to live up to him when dealing with their injuries. He was kind of a super hero.

still amazes me how kobe was able shoot the ball with that bulky finger sleeve. i recall reading how the arthritis on that index finger was so severe that he basically had the finger of an 80 year old man

Didn’t he have an even bulkier actual splint or small cast for a period (?) and, yeah, went out there, adjusted for it and shot the ball OK. Will never forget the things that normally put players on the DL, which he just went out and played. Driven!

He completely tore the ligament that keeps the pinky aligned with the hand and wrist. It is like having your Achilles tendon torn in half.

Yeah there was that. It would have taken him too much out of the season to fix so just said eff it and I don’t think he ever did fix it?

Yeah I don't think he did either but who knows what he did in Germany when he visited there.

After the 2nd AD2 steal and dribbling up the floor unassisted for the dunks there was a time out, and Marc was up with a smile on his face to congratulate Andre. Great to see.

Yikes, never would have thought Dwight Howard would buy into a team first concept more than Marc Gasol.

This is really annoying from Marc. It's not like Toronto didn't platoon him with Ibaka last year.

He was with Dwight and McGee too, they never said a word. I stood up for Gasol earlier and realized how tough it has to be facing your basketball mortality, but he’s here now, he can’t be cut and re-signed somewhere else, he needs to buy in, if he does our chances at a ring go up.

It’s a fair point, but this is also a shortened season, kind of a bubble season, very few practices all year, Vogel is pretty much having to figure out what works on the floor during games. Harrell has outperformed Marc all season if those are the 2 competing, and Drummond was promised the starting spot to come here, so... *shrug* Marc should have asked for a buyout when he could still.

Marc should play 12-15 minutes a game in the playoffs , the rest of the minutes at the C position should be for AD .

Drummond shouldn't see the floor in the playoffs .

    Just the reality ...

I don't like Marc attitude about it either, but I don't think you can compare it to Dwight. Dwight was out of the league and on a prove it contract with us. If he messed up, he wasn't getting another deal with a NBA team and he only found his way to us because of Boogies injury.

Marc wasn't a consolation prize for us and I'm sure he was promised things. He could've gone to any contender he wanted to for the deal he signed with us. But things are constantly changing, he needs to get that. When a top 10 C is available, you snatch him up.

Most nights Marc is our 4th best option at C (with AD back in the fold). Against Joker and Embiid, he jumps to 2nd but those are only two matchups. He needs to be investing every second into developing chemistry with Trez, because getting on the same page with him and playing next to him is now his best chance for success and more PT. He can float on the perimeter spots Kief occupy and Trez can work in the post.

That makes 0 sense. You need Drummond,Trez, and Gasol in the playoffs. Frank just needs to figure out when and how to use them.

the problem with building chemistry with Trez is Vogel isn't playing them together to form any chemistry

Vogel starts playing a short front-court lineup of Montrezl (6’7) + Morris (6’8) the last 4 games or so off the bench, and people wondering why our defense has slipped and can’t hold a double-digit lead?
