man he looks like a JR Smith from his Sixth man of the year days. JR took a long time to find his place in the league and Monk and can be special in LA

He has a smooth stroke from three, looks composed with the catch and shoot. I see a lot of potential from this kid, let's hope Lebron or WB help raise his game to another level. His highlights on youtube, I see not only a smooth jump shooter, but someone who can create off the pick and roll

That’s an old looking guy in that freeze frame for a young dude. Maybe it’s the light.

Lakers got a whole lot athletic the last few days. Now we wait to see if their shooting percentage drops 10 points wearing a Laker uniform, like every other d****** who comes here who isn't a star.

Just expressing some hype for Monk. I think he'll end up having a breakout season and one of our key players next year. This team will go through stretches needing offense, and this guy is more than a shooter. It wasn't too long ago (at least I) was thinking the Lakers could draft this guy in the lottery:

Russ does everything else better. Plenty of shooters now around him.

I don’t know. If that’s true, then the Lakers would have known this. Why take chances with a coke head on this squad?

because we have several other guards, and this one has a lot of talent so we can afford to take a flyer on the minimum?

would absolutely not be the first time we (or pretty much anyone) have done similar.

Low risk, high reward type situation. Plus, it seems to be in his past.

Yeah, he could always be unloaded if he causes probs. Hope it works out because I think this kid may be fun.

I watched him play a few times last year, the kid (he looks like an old man lol) can ball. I don't know what Charlotte didn't see in him and I'm not familiar enough with their roster to know if maybe they're too loaded at his position. Have you watched his highlights? Super athletic above the rim player with a sweet jumper. He can create off the dribble and slash too. Super excited about this guy on a minimum

I wrote that Horton-Tucker could/will be a starter to justify that contract but from the clips shown...this cat can fill it up. He can pull up off the dribble or catch and shot. His J is much better with a quicker release. Monk would be a great (better) fit with the starters.

I caught a Charlotte game last season and Monk did stand out alongside Ball. Billy Packer says "flawless, cold blooded..."
