this is my point re: lou comparisons. lou is the guy you get to play when bron sits. monk is a guy who can feed off of bron.

    jr smith minus muscles.

Good overall game but he's gotta hit Russ here. It was stupid to pass it back out.

He fits amazing with our starting lineup. He's our second best scorer.

I’m really starting to notice how good this “kid” too is and am becoming a big fan. Hadn’t been that invested in him prior but now that he’s so much more comfortable in his role (plus he has to dig starting) and playing with more precision and control …. combined with the consistent Lou Williams type scoring capability. And he’s really progressing and learning how to use his great quickness and coordination on defense. Maybe he can eventually pick up some of Bradley’s one on one hounding in tight skills with his as well taller frame. I really like him and hope we can keep him going forward. That shot is buttery when he has any time at all.

Monk's athleticism is very good, but his body control is really something else. That reverse layup in the 4th was unbelievable.

If the Lakers can get healthy and winning, he will only help more. He has been better than I thought.

he's becoming less of a minus on defense (though still a minus), which is great. i wonder if we'll be able to keep him on the mini-mle with the promise of a raise using early bird the next year. no way we'll be able to bring him back on another minimum given how he's played overall.

likely for lots of teams with the full MLE to offer, too, though. then again, i was certain schroder would be knee-deep in mle offers, and nobody ponied up. i view them as similar in overall quality, so maybe we'll be able to keep him.

Monk can make an open 3 though like its a layup: he's going to get a nice contract. If you have a big playmaker like Kawhii, Lebron, Luka, Giannis, and even lesser ones like Zion/BS etc he's a great guard to have as they can feed him and your team doesn' t have to play a smallish playmaker with him on D
