That's discrimination and Deng could end up getting another $30mm from us to make it a full $100mm

Deng cannot play the 3 anymore.

    He's semi serviceable as a backup 4.

Damn, y'all are harsh. I don't think he deliberately came in to just go through the motions and cash paychecks. And I didn't even really think he looked THAT old or broken down. I hate the contract but not the guy. I would not be surprised at all if he hears all this talk and is quietly working hard this summer and is actually a serviceable role player for us next year. We have to at least plan for that right now and lock him in for 20 minutes a game off the bench in the hopes that he can raise his value somewhat.

He did look not in good condition and was at the bottom of attendence in the weight room. Said he loved shooting by himself in his workouts but wasn't much improvement there.

I just re-read pages 1 - 3. I don't recommend anyone go back and read it. Lots of praise for our dearly departed.

why? he has nothing to prove or gain from being a better player next yr....lets be honest Dung and Moz didn't come here to win or be competitive, we gave them both the most money and we lost.

I'm a nice guy, HJ. I'm an optimistic guy.

There's nothing okay about what Deng did last year. He came in out of shape, never got into playing shape, didn't contribute defensively, didn't help offensively, couldn't handle the ball or create a basket, pouted when he was benched, pouted when he was taken out of the rotation, wasn't in the gym, wasn't leading our young players, was not a vocal leader to the press, didn't do an exit interview he just left... I mean there was just nothing there. At least Mozgov was a somewhat serviceable starter, Deng gave the team absolutely nothing. He got his big paycheck and then he got fat, literally. i understand if he takes the money that's offered to him, that's Mitch and Jim's fault for paying him that much, but if you're going to take the money have some f***ing pride and give the team what you can. Don't just take the money and run. That's bull****. That's wrong.

I understand Deng is a humanitarian and does a lot of good work in Africa, but he's done us wrong. Sure he could show up in the best shape of his life next season, but no I'm not planning for that at all. I'm planning on him being at the end of the bench. In fact, if I were Rob or Magic, I'd tell him stay wherever you are. Don't bother showing up, we don't need you around here.

Pretty sure Mozgov was at the gym with us up until the trade to the Nets. He wasn't very good, but he still resembled an NBA player and came in worked hard and was a good teammate. I would've much preferred to trade Deng over Mozgov.

How so? Both are utterly useless and Mozgov makes less money. In addition to that, people seemed to like Mozgov in general. Deng is such a bad example of a professional, I don't want him near our kids. His veteran leadership "lessons" are play hard for a couple seasons, go to a crap team and get overpaid, then collect checks while collecting inches on your waistline.

Mozgov isn't as talented as Deng, but he's a better dude and just isn't good because he can't get there. Deng is a loser and a piece of garbage. I play in a weekend soccer league, and I make sure to stay in decent shape for that dinky little thing. Yet Deng who is a much better basketball player than I am a soccer player, even in his current state of sloth, can't even keep himself from getting fat? While he's getting paid millions?
