I thought we'd get a solid two years out of him while being a great vet for the young guys, boy was I off.

Yeah I was hopeful he'd at least be a good mentor. I was hoping the 4th year wasn't guaranteed.

I feel betrayed for being hopeful that he would at least be a professional. He was disappointing basically the moment he put on a jersey...

I'll eat at Olive Garden, but Seasons 52 is a much better restaurant. I have 3 Italian places I frequent. Biagios in Lake Forest (I'm 38 and have been eating there since I was a fetus...literally), Mangia Bene (I owe Punk 101 for that one) and Alessa in Laguna Beach.

Olive Garden is where you go after you have graduated from Denny's. Denny's is high school, Olive Garden is community college.

would it be so bad to medically retire? Given how he's looked, I doubt he's gona get another contract 3yrs from now. Just take the $ and retire early lol

Yeah. It's obvious he doesn't want to play basketball anymore.

Au contraire. He was so mad at you for thinking that .....he went crazy with the weights to shut you up next year ....and hurt his boob. That's Luol's story and he's stickin' to it.

He could medically retire, but he'd probably have to eat a portion of his contract. Steve Nash didn't medically retire when he was limping around on a broken back, I don't expect Deng to retire because he's fat.

If that were the case, I'm not sure Nash would have fought so hard against it. I'm sure there's issues with the way that works and the only way to make sure you collect your entire paycheck in full with no red tape is to play the minimum amount to fight for your money.

Besides, Deng isn't hurt he just sucks.

Nash thing was ego, there was a report written about it, even his documentary he did with Baron Davis he said as much. He didn't want to be appear to be a quitter and truly thought he could come back and play. But I do think you get ALL your money if you're medically retired, even Bosh recent story has confirmed this. I doubt dung has that competitive mentality, if medically retirement was possibility I wouldn't be surprised if he took it and went away into the night

I'm not sure it's as easy as they just write you check is my point. I think there's a long process and if you do get your full pay amount, you don't get it as easily as you would if you play out your deal. Bosh's story is also pretty unique. I've read Miami, the Player's Union, and Bosh all worked out something different for him. Again though it doesn't really matter: Deng isn't hurt.

I think we should just sit Deng on the bench and NEVER play him. Make him so unhappy that he takes a discounted buyout just to get off our team. Of course he would have to have some pride. Which I don't think he does at this point.

I'm not sure that would make him unhappy though, he'd be getting PAID to do nothing. He could get even fatter. If we want to make him unhappy we'd play him 35 mins per game, work him hard and give him a personal nutritionist to follow him around.

Force him to play Center. Make him eat right. Make him donate to charities he doesn't support. Give him the middle seat on a public flight instead of the charter plane. Give him the room furthest from the elevator in hotels.

The entire team is on the Laker plane, meanwhile Deng is flying coach on Southwest.
