I can watch these highlights all day. I haven't been this excited about a player since Kobe first entered the league. Lonzo is a transcendent talent I don't care what the naysayers say... Our offense is going to be amazing, along with infectious offensive identity. We got 2 great defenders in Ingram and KCP, this team is destined for the 8th spot. Just stay healthy. Stay hungry. Stay humble.

I'm glad this cut off before Whitlock could say anything. He hates Ball, but mainly he's just an arrogant a-hole in general who is the only one who laughs at his own lame jokes.

Good stuff, fair take on both sides. Praises his passing, knocks his shooting, as it should.

I'm incredibly relieved we didn't take Josh Jackson too, going to be a very good player, but players with his skills are easier to find than players with Ball's skills. Also always glad to be reminded it can always be worse, we could have taken Bender. You can knock the Russ pick (but it landed us Lopez, a pick and got rid of Moz), you can even knock the Randle pick (though he was by far best available imo), and you can even say Ingram didn't put up great numbers his first season it you want to be a hater. But what you can't say is that any of our top 10 picks averaged 3 points and 2 boards their first season.

Yeah. I kept an open mind throughout the draft process but it was pretty clear that Lonzo was the best fit for us. I think this will end up being as deep of a draft as it was advertised with several solid pros including Jackson and Smith.

But I really think we got our guy. Ingram was a no brainer with Simmons gone but I still see him as a potential 2nd or 3rd option. Russell is the most polarizing player I can think of in all my years as a Laker fan. He was the right choice though and I still take him over Okafor and Mudiay, the guys pretty much everyone wanted. I also see him as ending up as a very good player instead of a great one unless he can really pull it together mentally. My expectations of Randle were never that high. I liked him coming out of high school but he's too inconsistent for my tastes. Still not a bad a choice though and he's shown flashes. Bottom line is that I don't think we wiffed on any of our picks but we didn't get the real superstar of any of those drafts.

Ball is a different story though. Every draft has the real potential franchise changer. Towns and Simmons were the previous guys and I honestly think Ball is that guy from this draft. We finally got the real "it" guy in a draft and it won't be long before Boston and Philly are kicking themselves for passing on Ball.

^^^ I agree, Fultz looks like he's going to be very good, maybe even great. But to pronounce him the #1 pick at the start of the last college season, see his team win 9 games, see what Ball did in college, and not adjust the rankings after that, I don't get it. Fultz looks good, but I don't see an "it" factor there. My good friend is a Sixers fan and I've been giving him crap over not taking Ball, like "uh oh you guys messed up big time", but he's taken it well as usual, still happy with Fultz.

I'm with you on that too. I don't see the "it" factor with Fultz either.

Superstar schmuper star .... when it comes to Brandon Ingram. He stays healthy and he is going to be as big a "Star" as you need. BI is the bomb.

It's not at all. I was taking exception at "the one Superstar in the draft" (we didn't get in Towns). And yeah he is going to be. But BI is right there behind him whether he reaches media superstardom or not. Please no harm no foul intended.

I thought your take on Ingram was reasonable. He has a ways to go before becoming a star or #1 option. If he didn't, we wouldn't be talking about bringing in George and LeBron next offseason. If he continues to develop then having him as a 2nd or 3rd option makes us a very good team.

By the same token if somehow PG or LBJ were rumored coming into MN then KAT likely is not option #1 either. He's 1B or 2. If both are coming in then what? Is KAT still a major star, if not super star when he reaches HIS prime?

I wish I could go toe to toe on TV with that fat piece of s***. I would end his career for the fraud he is.

I gotcha. That wasn't meant as a shot to Ingram. I think he will be a great player for us.

Fultz looks like he is going to be great? Are these the same people who keep telling me Ben Simmons is going to be great? Maybe great doesn't mean what it used to mean.
