nevermind! Just read the Dwight therapy thread. Oh to be a fly on the wall of that locker room. If he's already considered a locker room cancer, does this potentially make things worse? Society as a whole is more accepting than ever, but it's hard to know.
if this makes me wrong, I don't want to be right and no, I wasn't "really" at a party with Dwight. My pastor can confirm this.
He had an awesome first half, solid defense, attacking the bucket, but then he absolutely vanished in the 3rd. He looked tired strangely, he stopped attacking, kept giving the ball to LeBron and going to stand around, and his man started scoring all over him. Shame, hope he doesn’t let it get to him, we need attacking Lonzo vs Denver.
Lonzo should have played in the 4th quarter, he's normally clutch defensively and moves the ball well. This loss is on Luke not trusting Lonzo in the 4th, you could have kept kcp out there with Lonzo. Puke Walton at his finest.
Zo was giving the ball up too early in the 3rd, but why was Lebron coming back to get it?! Of course Zo will defer. When Zo gets the rebound, Lebron should be out running. With all of the success Zo was having rebounding and running, there’s no good reason that Bron should be doing that. I’m not sure if that was the gameplan or if LBJ just took that upon himself, but let the kid get out on the break!
LOL .... I love that from Bill. But alas he's clueless. As Lonzo has also had his NBA career capped already at "less than a star" in the future from their "armchairs" by those lately in the mood here for doing that with our 20 - 22 years old promising young guys. Trade em. Ship em out before their value drops even more. Well f*** maybe they have crystal balls? Or are just incredibly impatient while this team is learning to play with a bonafide Superstar who is naturally going to have the ball in his hands a lot?
X-rays negative...day-to-day 3 games in 4 nights starting this Thurs, so get that ankle handled my dude, cause the schedule aint going to wait on you.
Hart willing to play through pain. Same with Zo. That's a good sign. Now Kobe freaking Bryant would play through all kinds of pain and "apparati" attached ..... like tape and splints and s*** on his shooting hand, small cast even once, and sprained ankles and shoulders and wrists ..... and then go out there and not only play hurt but often play well like nothing even wrong. Barely grimace. Cyborg confirmed. It'll come out some day. LeBron's juice and Kobe's metal parts.
Lonzo has finally started playing more aggressive basketball, and THAT is your take away? Guys have to make shots to get an assist. Find a different bone to pick. Considering the team was 5-35 from 3 last night (and all around has played poorly the last 3 games), it should be easy. If anything, Zo being aggressive has been one of the few bright spots.
I'm happy with him being more aggressive and not just pushing the ball to the 3 point line, but also going inside and trying to finish. But why is everyone just happy with one thing? One guy is happy he plays defense, the other is happy because he is a pure PG who sets up teammates, the other is happy for him being aggressive. That's nonsense to me. I want Lonzo to play defense, be aggressive and set up his teammates. Yes, others missing shots is certainly a factor. But overall his assist numbers are way down this year and the team is overall hitting shots better than last year, so that argument is a mute point. I know LeBron has a lot to do with it though, so thats certainly a reason and his lower mpg also contribute to this factor. Still, I find that to be odd for him to have 2 assists in 3 consecutive games. But increased aggressiveness, if anything, should lead to more assists by him going to the basket and finding people after the defense collapses.
Find me a single post where anyone is happy with Zo doing just one thing and saying that's good enough. Nobody is happy with just defense. Nobody is happy with just passing. Nobody is happy with just driving to the hoop. It just so happens that Zo has shown the defense and passing, but we were waiting on the aggression. Now he's shown all 3; he finally shows aggression for multiple games in a row, and the only thing you felt like talking about is the assist total? Come on man. You already answered why the assist numbers are down: lower MPG, lower usage, and the Lebron factor. It's that simple and it's not a problem at all.
