If Lonzo can play this way with mostly scrubs. I have total confidence in him when the regular season starts. Sure the opponents will be better but so will his teammates.

I didn't think he was bothered by defense at all, on a team full of supposed defensive players in Brown, Semi etc.

Never really had a mid range game in college from what I saw. Something else he will definitely need to work on

I only think one guy called him a bust yesterday.

Everyone else offered valid criticism after a tough night for him.

Already having Lebron level impact on the game. Not bad for a guy that won't be in the league by the start of the season. Hopefully someone picks him up overseas.

Haha! I know youre being sarcastic, but man I cringe everytime people say his impact is going to be Lebron or Kidd level in his first season - joke or not.

Really liked Ball's game tonight, he has a great understanding of the game in transition, knows where to pass the ball for easy opportunities. That understanding of where to get the ball is an intangible quality that you can't teach, he'll rack up a lot of hockey assists and get the ball moving.

I mentioned in the game time, but he is kind of a throwback player in the sense that he isn't a scoring PG or a pound the ball for the whole shot clock and assist guy like a Nash or Chris Paul. I think that affects him in the half court. I'm not sure how great he is at running the PnR either.

At the moment I'm excited, however, I think as high as Ball's ceiling can be he also has some downside potential to be a bust in how he fits into the league as it is now. I'm really curious to see how successful he will be in the league and cheering for him!

I actually believe his downside is minimal. Lonzo doesn't force things to "happen" and so he goes with the flow and rhythm of each game. In essence he's already adjusting without really adjusting if you can follow my thought. Some games he may have 20 pts and some 5 pts, some games 10 reb and some 5 reb and some games 12-15 ast and some 6-7 ast

I disagree. Lonzo is the definition of how a modern day PG should play. Low USG% and fast decision-making.

I should clarify what I mean by bust potential. As a second round pick we expect him to be a star, if he is a good rotational player but not a star, I would consider that a bust for being drafted so high.

If he is scoring 20 pts one game and then 5 next, getting 5 rebounds and assisting 5 dimes one game and 10 the next. He is just a huge glue guy, but not a star. Remember the people we are comparing him to had dominant numbers. Magic in his prime was a 20/12/8 player.

I think he'll be a NBA player for a long time but can he become that no. 1 guy?

Almost everyone he is going to play in the league at his position will be a high USG and great scoring PG, so I disagree Lonzo is in the mold of the modern PG.
