But we needed a super PG. We very well may now have the best one for the next decade. Scoreboard ... better >>> two great wings.

Had our team checked off all our boxes, I would say you should draft talent (even if it's redundant) over need. But that team was at ground zero when our current FO took over...BI and Zu will tell you that and the latter already seems to have one butt cheek targeted by Mag/Rob's boot.

If DLo wasnt part of the plans and we had a guy on the board that isn't like current point guards, in that he rather swing the ball and set up guys...and we have created space for a max player, angling to make it 2max spots and the guys we targeting are wings that need a draw like a point willing to pass...then our team needs to draft that player... especially if BI covers that skillset and is a better player and projected to be an even bigger star than Tatum.

I like Tatum, but BI he is not and it's not even close at the moment. If dude becomes an All-star, its cause of conferencestance. The cbags are left unchecked after Bron left and there aren't enough wing stars in the East.

    Tldr what @LTLakerFan said

Ive been saying it for months. Eventually you grow bitter and cold that people dont realize what they've got in the kid. You don't have to convince yourself he's got the juice like we did with Russell. The kid is a great pick. Tatum is also great, but people really don't understand what a talented player Lonzo is.

Do we really have to go through this every season? Like it wasn’t bad enough with Russ and Porzingis or Booker. I’ve heard it with Ingram and Brown too. Look at our draft last year, Zo, Kuz, and Hart, that’s an A freaking plus. Grass isn’t always greener, we’d be nitpicking Tatum if he were here too. And let’s not forget there really isn’t a scenario where we get Tatum anyway. If Philly weren’t so stupid to give away a high pick to trade up, Boston takes him at 1. Maybe we end up with Fultz then, and that’s a no thank you for me.

sorry Vash I dont agree Tatum isn't close to BI, offensively he's more aggressive and has alot more offensive moves IMO, he's doing things I haven't even seen BI do yet

I actually don’t think they do. They seemed to want Tatum for quite a while, and knew Philly wanted Fultz and we wanted Ball, since we didn’t even work Tatum out. I believe Boston would have taken Tatum #1, they were set at guard with Kyrie, Brown, Rozier, and Smart.

Just 2 assist. Not really going to get it done.

He didn't get into the game till 3minutes left in 1st. Not good. Hopefully he isn't 100% is the reason for that BS.

Although RR was good. Not great, because of those TOs, but good.

You only get assists if shots are made. Other than paint points we didn't do a lot of making from outside the key.

Trash game. Hasn't improved his shot at all. This is why getting surgery really screwed Lonzo this summer and we lost out on key development on him.

Unfortunately, I expect Lonzo to have a down season and likely not improve much in his second year....Rondo is also playing good enough to justify bringing Lonzo off the bench.

Jalen and Jacoby both said Ball doesn't fit with this team. His strength (duh) is passing. Rondo and Bron both need the ball. That leaves Lonzo as odd man out. Needs to knock down that 3 or he's gonna lose minutes.

I don't agree with that; Zo is smart enough to fit ANYWHERE. Low usage, can play off-ball, excellent defender. Does his shot need to improve? Sure; but to say he doesn't fit; that's a stretch. IMO.

It's smart to stay off ESPN and the national media for today. They are so stupid when it comes to knowing what this team is and isn't. I have plenty of people like Pete on twitter that cover the team on a daily basis that I go to for insight on what things we need to get better at or analysis. Hell anyone at the The Athletic that covers the Lakers is better at knowing what is going on and how to fix the the team than the general sports media that cover all sports nationally.
