Two of my buddies in high school, one was 5’3” and the other 5’6” in the 10th grade. By the end of 12th grade, the 5’6” guy grew to 6’3”. The other guy that was 5’3”, by the end of college was still 5’3”. Genetics, go figure.
well I was 5' 7" my sophomore year in high school. By the time I was 22 I shot all the way up to 5' 7". Crazy.
Ramona's like the Sarah Huckabee for the Lakers lol. She'll say pretty much anything to defend us and I dig it.
This is really great what Rob is telling the media about Lonzo in this draft post press conference. I will share the video when its out but Lonzo is proactively going up to Rob and Magic office sitting down and talking about personal things, how to get better, what he's working on to get better. Rob even said he's met with Luke and some of the other coaching staff and watched film for an hour with Kuz and Ingram joining in as well to work on their games. I don't do these quotes justice but left me really impressed and again, so much is done behind closed doors that we the fans often don't grasp or really know just how much some guys are working. It was a great press conference from top to bottom
I also heard him say they are interested in players that are focused in playing basketball and not on trying to be famous. I immediately thought of Zo.
I love it. This kid is going to change a lot of minds next season. There's a lot of people, fans too, that forget just how good Lonzo is. Hopefully he realizes how good he is too and continues this sort of effort.
Luke on Spectrum SportsNet did a interview just with them and said he's talked with Randle lately about just how impressed he's been with him and the young guys getting after it in the workouts. If you follow Randle on social media (mainly Instagram) and his trainer, he's in the Lakers practice facility often.
Maybe the diss track scrutiny is just what he needed to fire himself up and shut people the fudge up. Everything happens for a reason. Let's go lonzo.
Have to admit did not escape me and worries me that Rob waxing poetic about the young guys didn't mention Julius too. Couldn't hurt Robby boy. Make Jules feel loved and maybe more inclined to give larger home town discount and if you are going to have to sign and trade him .... pump up his value. Julius is not going to be the same player this year as last. New stronger and improved version. It's what he does every off season. Step yer game up Rob.
It's not all about Randle LT lol...i understand where you're coming from though don't get it twisted, I like Julius too. Bottom line you think he's staying or going? Going either S&T OR walking?
No it's not but why would you not throw him a bone once in awhile along with the other "talented kids". Well at this point that fact above that he doesn't get mentioned has to give anyone pause that he's still going to be here. So what the **** do I know except that they are making a decision they will likely have to eat for years watching him turn into the player he is going to be. Julius has the incredible work ethic too and wants to make his boy and family proud and is already such a problem for other teams to play against. I get the salary cap, I get the fit and the minutes but none of that detracts from what he can become even as early as this year with all the continued work.
Yep. Thought about that as well. Wasn't sure cause of cap holds if it allows you to communicate with your own RFA or not.
