This was my comparison, so I'll respond: no it wasn't an insult, just an observation. Buddy isn't a superstar (I suppose he still could be eventually), but he's a serviceable player. I've been very high on Young and have had him as a high lottery pick since the start of the season. My point is he has drawn comparisons to Steph Curry (stylistically similar), but I believe his floor is Buddy Hield which is a good floor.
For as prominent of a scorer that Russell Westbrook is, he's shooting 28.9% from deep and is 31% for his career. Lonzo's currently at 31.5% on his rookie season. I think he'll be fine.
Which is strange because he was actually a prolific shooter in high school and college, whereas Kuzma wasn't. I think the physicality and conditioning plays role in his shooting a lot. With BI currently out, his responsibilities of running the offense increased dramatically. I noticed when he was playing off ball, with BI running point, he was having a much easier time. Additionally, he's spending a lot more time on the defensive end than any of us would've thought he would. Give him a summer with the Laker's strength and conditioning team, and not the Lavar BBB program, we'll see an improved Lonzo in all aspects of his game.
Yup, I like to think that they (BI & Ball) are each interchangeable at the 1 or 3. Or 1 through 3. Zo is a pretty big 6'6" especially considering his age and who he's been disrupting out there on the floor. He'll take on a big. Well, he'll come up from behind and strip a big or challenge for a board. If he adds a little strength, his off-ball play has been a wild surprise and good enough this year to make him a very effective player in this unit. He just needs to get that 3 steady and work on finishing at the rim to stretch the floor. Enough to give BI and Randall (and whoever else) a little room. Rookies often shoot bad especially the 3 (yeah Kuz is a freak). I don't worry about him too much though I do wonder if he stays in a slump if he gets a shooting coach and tears down the technique from scratch this summer. he just seems like he has so much innate talent that he could survive a ground-up reworking of the mechanics given 6+ months.
1-12 3balls... They're only open attempts cause the defense wants you to shoot that funky shot of yours. Change your f***ing shot bruh. No one can convince me otherwise. Legit Q: who's better at point? BI or Zo?
Why we are resorting to having the worst shooter in the NBA chuck 3's to finish the game is beyond me.
What the hell happened after he was shooting so well for that stretch of games? Too much jerking around in after practice with the contest 3s? When do we read that Zo has stayed after for 2 hours working on his shot and FTs?
6 6" Rondo for now....i dont know why he doesn't drive it more, rondo was a terrible shooter too n all he did was drive
We need a couple vets on this team that they will look up to so he gets serious. Our current vets don’t qualify.
Zo to the bottom of the Big 4 untouchables? Wonder how we'd have looked with Mitchell now or Smith Jr? His horrible shooting as someone said in Game Day leaves us 4 on 5 with offense while IT makes up for that by making it 4 on 5 with the defense. Most down I've been on him whole damn season. To much media outside quotes, BBB, summer concerts, cute Instagram crap and .... eff me.
