Isiah Thomas who wasn't a shabby point guard himself lauded Ball's impact more on how he controls the game without putting too much stock into his scoring output. Agree that Ball has done that so far.

Let’s not forget how awful Ingram shot the basketball last season early either.

He was a pretty good shooter at Duke and still struggled coming out of the gate.

You really cannot understate the learning curve for some of these kids entering the NBA especially shooting the basketball.

Lonzo still impacts the game in a very big way, but in terms of offensive scoring his shot looks way off and his finishing ability around the rim looks nonexistent.

Hockey assist. Just watch how many times Zo does that. Anyways I wish his shot was better but thus far he’s a solid “B” grade

Really liking his D and ability to switch on the fly and diagnose ahead by a split second. All i know is i think hes smart enough to know he needs to lock up his man to compensate for his shooting.

Would a Kuz-like player in the making ease the frustration?

There are some who have said that Kuz projects to be a bigger Klay. I don't know about that yet...

Klay would be perfect here and perfect for Zo.

Yeah I know. Different position but in position-less basketball we should get down on our knees and thank someone for the fact we got this kid on OUR roster. Even if he's taller than Klay.

Thompson and Kuzma's shooting form/mechanics do look somewhat similar. Up front, extended follow though... No funky release, a quick twitch, no wasted motion. Just an observation.

Lightning feet and quick release very similar.

Ball can finish at the rim with either hand. Has a decent floater and finger roll. Barkley had an interesting observation that Ball can't/won't shooting going to his right. Have to start paying attention if that has merit.

Defensively decent, Ball is no lock down but he does not give up on screens and keeps his man in front of him. Very good rebounder.

He can also shoot the 3, but we really haven't seen it yet to be fair.

He's gotta cut when we dump the ball to Lopez, there's just no reason to just stand around the corner. I blame Luke for his non-existent half court offense. We can't run the break all the time.
