his size and general agility and speed remind me a lot of kcp. can he be molded into that kind of a defender? ham's got his work ahead of him. interesting that he compared him to monk, though, as i think they're pretty different.

Monk comp is: they're offense only players who will be off the team in a year.

(Although effort was often there with Monk, ability just wasn't)

lol. i think if lonnie is going to earn another contract, he's going to have to defend. he's got the athletic ability and size to do so, imo. i get that pop didn't get to him, but maybe facing his playing mortality might?

We rolled the dice on him..I'm cool with that from what I've seen of him. If he's hungry and puts in the work...this could be a great opportunity for him.

worst case he's six million in expiring money to move. he and bevs could bring back a player making jerami grant/myles turner money, in theory.

As opposed to me unpleasantly blindsided that he's hurt an ankle bad enough to have had some kind of procedure on it already. SMH shades of Nunn with that Mini ML contract. And guess what Nunn is cleared for contact and 5 on 5. Everyone was freaking out. He just did not want to risk some s*** happens injury prior to the start of this camp after last year.

Slippery, wirey, Lonnie I doubt can just spot up and shoot like Monk but tbh his last few years %s are good except for last season 3pt %. I don't know what Pop did with him slip 4% one year and 10% over 2 years. The only obvious thing is his attempts went way up from hardly any.

I don't know, just saw this post by Slick and thought he'd read something this morning. Haven't been able to listen to any of these interviews or read stories today or probably tomorrow.

Why did you post that Slick?

Ron mentioned an ankle injury on Lonnie. He'll be limited for tomorrow when they start practicing.

Lonnie said himself the injury isn't a big deal. He'll be fine.

Idk if that's what you were looking for or not, but he should be fine otherwise.

22 year old ankles heal fast.

Thanks. I just saw Slick mention surgery, which would mean a lot more time off.
