Lonnie Walker ain't starting again. -2.0 net rating with Lebron -0.4 net rating with AD The team is actually winning games with Bev and Dennis so no way ham changes that for him. Maybe if Bev gets traded, Reaves might start depending on what the Lakers get back.
I think Lonnie is kind of the man left out when Reaves gets back and I wouldn’t be shocked if he is being shopped right now. If we could improve at the SF with someone like Burks that would be good. I think we don’t trade/Detroit doesn’t accept a first for Bogdanovic. And I think we’ll get outbid for OG
Looks like he's the odd man out: a real shame as he was legit impressive early in the year. However not surprised he was awful on Portland: bad shots, bad decision making
If our team is completely healthy, he's not gonna see playing time. But he's a pretty good insurance policy for when our 2s or 3s are out.
yeah, i'm bummed for him because it's a contract year, but he doesn't bring any skillset that isn't already there in other players. he needs to find a role as a bench scorer somewhere. there are teams that could use him, imo.
3pt jumper is just not consistent enough for him: needs to hit the 40% mark. He doesn't make enough open ones and he compounds that by poor decision making on his shot selection. He's got the talent to be a legit rotation player on most NBA teams but he's got to put in more work (or maybe we're being too tough on him and his injuries really got to him)
I wouldn't count him out just yet, Beasley isn't exactly killing it. On some nights Lonnie might be the one that has the stroke going.
Beasley even if he's not making shots has so much more gravity that it allows you to play Vando with AD. Teams scramble to get to him which they won't do for Walker (shooting percentages don't take into account impact of this on the floor). If Vando is starting then I suspect Beasley will as well
Beat me to it. Even if LW4 puts up twice as many points as Beasley, it's about the scouting report and reputation. Also on defense, Beasley seems to be more aware, better prepared, and his hands are up more often.
i think the injury and schroder's arrival really killed him. if he can't get any offers he likes next year, i'd take him back on a vet min with the idea that if we had to make trades or had injuries and he produced, we could offer him a good deal in FA. but it's much more likely he signs on with a team that has a need for a guy who can create shots off the bench. others beat me to it--beasley has a history of making shots over long periods of time. lonnie needs to shoot at this percentage for one more year to earn the rep.
Yeah I would do that too but doubt he decides to stay for less money if he ends the season out of the rotation. He would probably just try out another team for the same or more money. I understand why he's the odd man out. His offense right now isn't as needed for us. And he sucks at D so there's really no space for him. He will still be someone we can bring in any given game where things are not working and we need a scoring punch or something different. Great luxury to have tbh
Only 8 minutes, doesn't matter. Given green light in garbage time. Got 7 shots up and hit double digits.
Though demoted from starter to Garbage Time, if LW4 (also Wenyan) buy into the new team (meaning: put in the same hustle and effort they did when they were way up in the rotation), it's huge. No matter where or when they play Reaves, we know he's all in.
What a luxury to have him as your 11th guy. He can come in in any game Beasley is cold or our offense isn't working and we need some scoring punch. Super useful guy to have in situational moments. Will definitely play a role in our success even not being in the core rotation. This guy was a starter this year and is now off of the rotation, not because he's awful but because the others are better. Just crazy
he's on page 2 but has provided a lift lately, imo. his ability to put pressure on the rim helps scratch out points, get us in the bonus, etc.
He was really good in Memphis loss. Looked like a guy who was itching to get out there and cook. The results weren't nearly as good a later, but he did a great job getting to the rim and to the line. Game high 11 attempts.
