I have no doubt the league would sacrifice Wade to especially at this time of his career. Not so sure about Howard because of the whole promote Harden/Howard as the next Kobe/Shaq angle. They would need a big name but not too big. Heck they didn't even attack a big name in the flopping rule even though some of the biggest are the biggest culprits. I don't believe CP3, Blake, Bron, Wade or Harden ever got fined and if they did I am sure it was at the very end of the season. NBA aren't going to shoot themselves in the face. I could see them getting Kobe if he is on the stuff. That would be the best sacrifice for them. A big name and they can discredit all he has done while praising MJ and promoting LBJ.

No more steroids and tons of minutes start doing this to him ... He was already a lot less explosive last season .

He looked better last night, but what a joke that opening night game was vs the Knicks. Not even his play, just all the hype around it. LeBron saying this is one of the biggest sporting events ever, all the TNT guys (specifically Barkley) making excuses for his horrid play. Sick of this guy.

    When he gets
A drive going people are still scared to stand in front of him. That said Klove is much more impressive this season.

What's funny is those knee treatments Kobe gets are essentially blood doping... They could bust him right now but there was never a rule against it so Kobe took advantage. Now they can't bust him because they've let him do it for so long. Even worse they can't ban it because Kobe has made it a popular practice that's well known.

I hope LeBron ends up on some list one day. He'd be the best person to do it with. The NBA won't kill him for it and they'll be the first league to embrace steroid use!

    NBA

    Stands for nobody's business alright

NBA only cares about cocaine. No other dope is a concern. Haven't heard the king is on roids. Highly doubt it. Bynum is blood doping pretty openly.

You really doubt LeBron is on steroids or HGH or some other PED? I'd say there's an extreme likelihood that he is on or has been on PEDs in his NBA career. I'd say it's likely everyone in the NBA is on some sort of PED, or at least the majority is.

Just compare a picture of the King when he started High School and when he finished High School. Either the man has some HUGE natural testosterone orbs, or he's PEDing.

No I honestly don't. The media won't talk about PED use in the NBA. At least not from any serious players. They'll bust chumps like Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkeglu in Orlando, but they won't bust Wade or Kobe or LeBron when it's pretty clear they're on something.

Let me put it this way: The NFL is rampant with PED use, right? The MLB is rampant with PED use and they've made a huge deal out of it. So why wouldn't the NBA also be suspect? Wade's use is pretty obvious. Just look at that jaw line.

LeBron and Kobe and Dwight is a little less obvious. Not all PED use shows the same way depending on what you take, how you take it, and how you train, etc. For LeBron how does he lose that much muscle in one summer? Just cutting out carbs doesn't do that for you. Carmelo lost a bunch of weight too at one point, but he's always been kind of chunky. He's a suspect, but I'm not going to jump on it. Dwight Howard's shoulders scream PED use to me. They're enormous. In Orlando they were almost as large as his head.

Let me make this clear though: I'm not anti-PED. I don't care. As long as everyone has an opportunity at it then the playing field is fair. As long as PEDs are used properly, they're really not that bad. Especially referring to baseball here. Steroids in baseball was way more fun than what we've got now.

Anyway I digress. The media won't call the NBA on PED use and I think it's probably about money. The NBA has become a billion dollar business. Why would ESPN risk that by outing stars and their PED use? They really wouldn't. I expect it'll all come out eventually, but right now it's not good for business.

Good points. I believe you with wade as he needs it to improve his recovery time. Not sure on james and I'm not a fan of his but you can lose that kind of weight in the way he says he did. My family is in nutritional business. Rashard is also a fine example. Wonder if kemp was on them or vin baker. Kobe? I suppose he could prove to be the Clemens r bonds of NBA. Won't start talking about it until he gets close to kaj.

My bad, stupid Google. That's his first season with the Heat. Still you can compare his muscular progression from High School, and compare it with Kobe for instance.

You can lose weight, but usually not muscle mass. Not the kind of muscle mass he lost.

Wasn't it THESE Finals where they were saying "he's in such GREAT condition that he cramps more easily than everyone else!". Well if he's in that kind of condition, he doesn't have enough fat to lose that kind of weight in a month and a half like he did. He'd have to run like a gazelle every day and lift only body weight... it'd be difficult, but possible. I'd say the more likely scenario is that he worked VERY hard, but also stopped taking the PEDs he was using.
