Disagree with 1 thing; Cavs GM is good, but really how good can he be when Lebron is making all the personnel decisions? Agree with everything else. Good post.

Boy, LeBron loves to make things interesting doesn't he? I love when ppl say "oh lebron was always going to opt out so he can re-sign for one year and then sign a fat deal next summer"....sorry, I'm not buying that. And LeBron is going to cause the Cavs to make some really stupid moves....like pay BOTH TT and Love the max...overpay for JR...basically overpay for everyone.....

And Shumpert... And they have to pay Mozgov next summer... And he's not helping retain Love...

The guy left Miami to get control back. I'm going to say unless he gets lucky with healthy on his squad and no health out of the West, he's not going to win in Cleveland.

Im afraid he'll finally win one in Cle. They have guaranteed place in the Finals for the next 3-4 years. Once there, anything can happen :(.

Back when he was the ringless king, I was never confident that he wouldn't at least win one and now I'm not confident that he won't win at least 1 in Cleveland.

We'll see. I think this summer goes badly for them as they scramble to do the King's bidding. Once it's done, he'll be stuck until his late 30s with a team that can't win it all when stacked up against the West.

I think he absolutely has a shot to win one I. Cleveland at some point, their team needs to be healthy above all. The only issue I can see is fatigue. I don't care how big and in shape LeBron is or what kind of PED's he's pumped full of, at some point going into his 30's he's going to burn out for one season, for one playoffs. I can't think of any player in the modern era of 82 game seasons and months long playoffs that didn't burn out for one playoffs or finally get an injury that took them down for a season. LeBron has yet to have this happen, and after 5 Finals in a row he's got to be pushing the limits. You're not gonna tell me the guy is going to make 6, 7, 8 Finals in a row at 33, 34, whatever it is with 82 game seasons and having already played like 2 extra seasons worth of playoffs to add to his 11 or 12 years. Something has to give eventually, it has to. If it doesn't, I'll give the man major credit for being an absolute iron man like we've never seen before, or wonder what magic drug he's on.

Well, that's the thing isn't it. Remember early this last season? He came in having lost a ton of weight on a "low carb diet". Suddenly, he looked human, and was about 2/3 of the player he used to be. Then he got "fatigued", and took his little in season vacation down in Miami. Amazing what a little rest will do for a guy. He came back and was suddenly a super hero once again. His nickname should be Captain America because clearly he has access to the Super Soldier Serum. As long as he does, he will be able to overload a normal fatigue limit. Age will catch him, but I'm guessing he will have more than the 2-3 years some have mentioned.

You may be right, TIME, but I hope not. I cannot see how a guy in the modern NBA could go to 6, 7, 8 Finals in a row. Something has to give. I would think a knee or something eventually has to wear out for a season or one playoffs carrying a guy that big that carries that much of the offense and plays above the rim so much. Maybe LeBron is not human, he has not had a single major injury yet, I can't see that going on forever. Maybe if the Cavs get shocked one year in the 2nd round or something and he gets unexpected rest, but not if they keep playing til June year after year after year.

He'll get hurt in the next year or two. Then everyone will look at Cleveland's roster and say he didn't have enough help! You're right Weez, there's no way a person can go through that many extra minutes and not breakdown eventually.

However, it is still my hope that every year he makes it to the Finals and every year he loses. I want him to be 2-10 when it's all said and done.

I don't think Bron stays healthy to be honest. Each of the last few seasons we have seen him need more and more time off during the season. Even in the weak East and missing 4th quarters, taking games off and coasting we still see him with the cramps and massages during the playoffs. Sooner or later he is going to face competition before the Finals and his body is finally going to have to give in no matter how much happy juice he has on board. I think it finally catches up to him in these next 2 seasons.

Real- I don't think I would want him to be 2-10 in the Finals. In fact, I don't want him to make another finals because 2-10 means he went to 12 Finals. The media will spin that as "Lebron was so great he took 12 crappy teams to the Finals." In loss they will find victory for the GOAT talk. No I want him to OPT IN to his contract and then watch his team get bounced.

I just think the pain for Ohio and Cleveland and LeBron personally will be so much greater if he makes six more Finals... and never wins. You're right the media would spin it, but only for so long. Eventually it all comes down to the facts: 2 rings and a whole lot of failure.

Okay maybe just 2-6 then. That way he's at less finals than Magic and has won less than Bird. Greatest Ever? Bah!

Noooooooo Real, I can't take too many more finals where I'm stressed from rooting against Lebron. If no Lakers give me a stress free match-up like GS/MEM vs CHI/ATL.

I don't want Lebron to leave Clev. In fact I want him to sign a long term deal and be everything the Cavs fans want him to be with one exception, a champion. I want him to be a great player showing off his passing skills and his high BBall IQ. I want ESPN to continue paying their employees to start every LBJ discussion with "Best player on the planet" and have to wax poetic about the way he wipes his butt after taking the best dump ever taken by an athlete in any era of any sports ever. I want him to remain healthy and ball through his prime till he is 33. I want him to remain the media whore he is and I want his fans to defend him vigorously without fail and without hesitation. Then I want to see him at 34 or 35 leave CLev to ring chase. At that point he could even get one it won't bother me. He'll have 3 when he retires and that is great for such a great player. But then when he does retire I want him to be put where he belongs. Nope, not the GOAT but a great once in a generation type player who only got championships because he ring chased. I want the historians to try and justify the praise for a guy who had the Kingdom at his feet (twice) in Clev and failed to win. I want them to compare those rings to the other greats and watch them pale in comparison. Then and only then will I be satisfied that this media slobber-fest was worthy it in the end. That is what I want.
