    The Slo-Mo..... Your Welcome

Look at where he takes off from and the height of the ball in his hands

Wow, it looks even more impressive in slow mo. It's like his arm went extendo. And he actually dunked it instead of throwing it through like Dwight during that one dunk contest.

    5. Benches stifling themselves when a teammate gets posterized

These are the best moments -- when our mask of learned politeness falls away to reveal our base and cruel nature. Did you see the Brooklyn bench when Larry Nance Jr. ended Brook Lopez right in front of them on Wednesday night? The sitting Nets knew it was not appropriate to celebrate the violence Nance had just laid upon their broken teammate. For a brief, glorious half-second, they just couldn't help it.

They all gasped. Some leaned back in their chairs, either in astonishment, or perhaps out of some primal instinct to run away from the carnage. Others perched forward and bent their knees, as if they were about to rise in acknowledgement. And then, bam: They remembered. They had to be civilized. They resumed their normal seated positions and stifled grins. A few even briefly held onto each other, to keep balanced. I'm pretty sure Trevor Booker grabbed Randy Foye, so that Foye would not stand up.

Seriously: Whenever someone gets dunked on hard, watch the reaction of the victim's bench. It is often the best part.

The fact that he couldn't walk off on his own has me very nervous. Hope it's a better prognosis than the one I'm thinking (looked like ACL).

Those knees man.. I'm always waiting for a knee injury to happen with him, I have this fear hanging over me that they're never gonna let him have the career he should.

He didn't want to play against Blake's DNP. :p

I hope I hope I hope it's nothing major. The replay didn't reveal much about what caused it. That I noticed anyway.

Same. Looked like a ligament sort of injury. Hopefully it's not a tear.

    MRI is done today, right?
It will kill me if it's a torn ACL...

Bone bruise but will be reevaluated once the swelling goes down. Out indefinitely.

We really are gonna miss our glue guy, we saw this earlier in the season and it was pretty bad.

When I saw this on twitter today I was relieved because I was sure it was an MCL or ACL type injury. But because of the swelling we're not out of the woods yet because the results were "inconclusive".

I have to agree with Dr. Klapper though, its really bizarere that it was a non-contact injury and yet they are calling it a bone bruise so that is why I still fear we don't have the full story yet:

Hence the exam Larry will have on Sunday will tell us everything

All in all I hate to be the negative one but I think we lost him for the season. If its truly just a bone bruise we got so lucky on this and if missing 1-2 months is the results...... Merry Christmas to us because it looked a lot worse (no contact, teammates had to carry him to the locker room, crutches, too much swelling for MRI).

    Hope for the best!

Klapper isn't saying it's NOT a bone bruise, he's saying that if it IS a bone bruise then that indicates some seriously deficient inner knee mechanisms.

I'm not necessarily worried about losing him for the year, although that's possible. I'm worried his career is going to be shortened because his knees can't hold up. Very worried.

Let's see what the prognosis is next week when the swelling goes down.

Although Nance is probably the nicest guy on the team, whose character is second to none IMO, he isn't such a big fundamental piece of the future of this team. He is an amazing asset coming off the bench but this team goes only as far as Ingram, Russell and Randle in its current form.
