No. For one, I don't think Morris will be happy coming off the bench like Nance does. Two. D'Angelo's per-36 minute averages this season aren't too far away from what Wall is doing. What isn't close is the salary differential. D'Angelo will be on a rookie scale until 2019. Wall is making 16 million/yr. So while we save cash dumping Deng, we have to pay $$ for Wall's larger contract.

He should be on the trip and have a chance to serve notice to Marc Gasol tomorrow he's coming for him. :Magic Brows:

Like Rev explained, it'll mostly be about numbers for me. Plus, Wall would be a UFA in 2 seasons. Whereas we could keep Russell for so much Longer.

Additionally, it seems like Wall and particularly Morris aren't exactly great locker room guys of late. I woudln't want to ruin the chemistry we have with the bench.

I may consider Wall for Russell/Deng, but that's robbery.

Just NO. Let Luke have all his guys for one full season at least. I'd expect Luke to fight hard to keep all these promising young guys. You know how much he's got to love Nance.

As much as I'd be tempted.. is Wall really a system fit for this offense?

He had no clue how to adapt to his personnel. Shoot, he couldn't even figure out consistent rotations. Truly. The. Worst. Ever.

No thanks... I'd prefer to stick with our Young Core who are at least being competitive in a strong conference.

bummer...i thought this memphis roadie was winnable, but nance is super important to this team.

as for the wall trade suggestion...i love wall, but russell and nance is too much. i just don't see how wall hasn't been given pieces to have more success. you start wondering if he can be a focal point. at the very least, you have to build a team suited to his unique talents, which is tenuous--they need to be able to both run and shoot, and not give it all back up on d. it's like building a team around harden in some respects, but wall is MUCH better on d, but worse on O. larger point is that when you have to be creative to build around a guy, you need to be concerned. the very top players don't require that. anthony davis and lebron can play in any system, and you can chalk up their team failures to the supporting pieces.

if i'm giving up a couple of blue chip prospects, i want one of those ^. if not, i'll roll with organic growth.

He's listed as questionable tonight. I think he plays, and we need him too...Utah is always a tough match up for us.
