All I know is he's working his butt off out there, love to see that. He reminds me of Madsen, except athletic. He's much more valuable than that if he's hitting open shots and getting offensive putbacks though. Also, hard to tell as I didn't see any good slo-mo replays of his jumpers, but does it seem a little different? Like he's leaving guys his non-shooting hand on the ball a half second longer and shooting less of a one-handed shot?

He could be called the Navigator, for the creatures in Dune that look wormy and create golds in space time. He'll have to earn it.

I opined that Nance could be a Leonard-type player when we drafted him. He's moving toward that kind of playing style.

really like how he's playing. he has some of the poise/smarts that you'd expect from a three-year college player. Kelly can probably start updating his resume.

I wonder,if he develops a 3 point shot, could he eventually become our SF? He sure seems capable of defending SF's.

Yeah I was trying to gauge that as well and it did seem like it wasn't flying off as far and staying on until almost the release. Nice that he has made the adjustment and it's not screwing him up, obviously, since it was pointed out to me by ROFY that he shot pretty well in college.

That is SUPER nice having him play this well coming off the bench when Julius has to sit down. Except we may need more minutes for him. Keep that big "stiffy" for him Byron ..... it's one of the very few things you're doing right now. Then again I bet trodger's wife could even spot that Nancy is playing really well and should get lots of minutes. He's a fun player to watch. A steal for sure. The FO got him right.

Maybe that's where he can get extra minutes. F*** it Byron, you've done so many other whack combinations such as having no PG on the floor when we have 3 capable of playing the position, and the inspired pairing of Bass / Kelly for our bigs ...... for small ball give us a look see at Randle / Nance if the other guys really are small balling it.

That would get him more minutes too if he's capable of it. :)

Yeah I recall when we drafted him, he was scouted as a SF/PF with excellent defense, but with no range :D

He is a mix of Dirk Nowitzki and Anthony Davis...

white but athletic. Can shoot like Dirk and dominate defensively like Davis...NOT.

All it takes is a couple of good/bad games and people absolutely LOVE or absolutely HATE a player lol.

He reminds me of a Ronny Turiaf type of player but with more skills and athleticism

I was wondering the same thing last night. He seems athletic enough and was known for his defense in college.

i think if he ever wants to be a starter in the nba, he'll have to develop a three point shot and play the 3. it's more likely that he's a good backup backup 4, though. i'll take it.

He was giving three-point shooters too much space, especially smaller guys, but otherwise I thought his defense was pretty awesome.

So we shouldn't be happy when one of our guaranteed contract draft picks does well and turns into a contributing member of the team? People had been calling for him to play because of hustle and defense from game 1. Also, I compared him to Mark Madsen, someone else to Turiaf, I don't think that's over the top praise, talk about negative exaggeration with your comparison. Not every player is a star, some can be celebrated as quality role players.

He's developing faster than any of our young'ns not named Jordan Clarkson. Wild.

I'd say he's an absolutely perfect back-up 4 in this league. Hustles, works hard, and athletic to boot. He could the a Draymond Green type of steal in the draft. Kudos draft team.
