I'm thinking he'll be the MVP if he comes here. I see a parallel in our 1979 team.

    Aldridge as Kareem
    DRussell as Magic
    JC as Norm
    Kobe as Silk
JR as better than their power forward that year Spencer or anyone else.

Lamarcus and/or Demarcus, it's time for Mitch to put on his super suit and become this guy again:

Technically we can just have Aldridge, we don't even have to deal with Portland.

LMA should be playing the PF the rest of his career. If he comes here we need a serviceable center who plays D and boards. Not sure where that leaves us with our current team but LMA at the 5 isn't his best spot.

Didn't think of it at first, but the Spurs drafting a player they can stash & not pay year 1 might be a good sign for us. I'm guessing they would have packaged that pick with Splitter if they could find a salary dump.

if we have some sort of arrangements with Aldridge's camp, then the Russel pick makes more sense.

If we actually land LMA, wow, that would be amazing. I'm a big fan of his game.

I'm extremely hopeful we end up with Aldridge at this point. It'd get rid of most of my problems with passing on Okafor.

With our "draft, " I'm all in on LMA. unfortunately, so are the Spurs.

I don't want Love or Jordan.

The kind of splash we just made in Russell might help with free agents. Right now we're a sexy name that people assume have a great plan in place. That kind of gutsy on a player probably rubs off on our decisions elsewhere. I hope anyway.

I'm all in for a FA big man though. Chandler makes a ton of sense with Russell. So does Jordan. I'll gladly take Aldridge. I'm a little less excited about Love or Monroe at this point but willing to go that route. Other names like Asik, Robin Lopez, Koufos, and even Biyombo make a lot of sense too. Don't sleep on Ed Davis coming back as well now.

With our pick, it's real obvious we're going to Target a big man this offseason. LMA would be perfect!

Aldridge will not come to the Lakers unless they have a serviceable center. So now they got to figure a way to get a FA center that is decent to ease his worries and stay in the cap space.

Big Problem though, Tim Duncan has said he'll sign on for 6 mil to draw Aldridge in...who would you go with..Scott and Upshaw or Popovich and Duncan?

Aldridge - Yes...if we can find a big that will do the dirty work so he doesn't have to deal with it.
    Jordan - Yes
Gasol - Yes, but NOT happening.
Chandler - Yes...turn Randle loose at the 4.
    Monroe - No
    Love - f**k no!
