absolutely agree with you on this, and imo harrell already has one foot out the door... i feel like they are somewhat forced to shake up the roster because "running it back" will likely produce similar results... and everyone has already seen this team play, so no surprises/fear of the unknown despite the media's best efforts... what is Lue gonna do to get them over the hump that Doc could not?

admittedly, i reluctantly bought into the "depth" argument -- it seemed as though a different guy would step up on any given night during the regular season, whereas we relied so heavily upon AD and Lebron. but, ultimately, our guys came through when it counted, and the rest is history.

I probably shouldn't be surprised. Rewatching all the nonsense that was said about the clips and Lakers starting from a year go and throughout the season and playoffs only made the title that much sweeter and enjoyable. If they stick to that idiotic agenda, next time should be even more fun.

I had a lot of respect for the clips team and I basically lost it all after that pathetic showing. I just don't see how they could win against the Lakers (if healthy) in the playoffs. That is unless they somehow significantly upgrade the roster, but while that's in theory always possible, they really don't have any valuable assets.

BTW, not to brag, but I made a bet with a friend last year that the clips wouldn't advance to the WCF. That bottle of scotch will be extra tasty once I got my hands on it.

I hope the specific individuals doing this s*** for the Mothership and the organization itself experience serious mocking from reputable outside sources and are twitter shamed ruthlessly.

Well if Clippers fans are like C Bags fans, they will not pay up. And take note, if they would have won, they would have shown up with their friends and brass knuckles to collect within seconds.

The lack of respect for Miami is pretty amazing. They are a good team, solid organization and ability to improve. I would have them above the C Bags who looked weak as s*** in the playoffs. To me, the Slippers should be around 5th-7th at best.

My buddy is not a clippers fan, he just considered them the super favorites last year and was shocked when I disagreed with him, which led to our bet. Haven't heard from him since the end of second round though lol.

I mean I guess they have depth in that they have a lot of players on their roster... It’s not worthwhile depth though, I’m certainly not bragging about Reggie Jackson, Green, Patterson, McGruder, Mann, and Noah if I’m a Clippers fan. I think the depth the plucky 2019 Clippers team largely had went to OKC in the George trade with SGA and Gallinari.

I think the clippers presumed "depth" was due to Williams & Harrell coming off the bench.
& they both had terrible Playoff performances, putting too much pressure on PG & Kawhi.

which of those is better than kuz, caruso, howard, or even markieff morris? i guess folks have been duped by beverly's fake hustle for years, but i think that's over. zubac had a hard time finding minutes on our s*** teams and was a bright spot there. they were thin. they knew it, which is why they hustled to trade and sign guys during the season.

and yes, i said repeatedly that they had a full season of gallo (very unexpected given his age and injury history) the year before they got kawhi and PG, and just losing him was losing near allstar production.

anyway, they better pull a rabbit out of a hat in the offseason. and they may. ballmer has deep pockets and big dreams. but this juggernaut s*** was always a joke. always.

Meanwhile at Stately Snake Manor, Kawhai is plotting the demise of Paul George who is currently not consumed with revenge next season but rather is obsessed with the vertiginous fall of his f***en 2k Rating, that's not a typo he is worrying about his 2K rating. Priorities Paul strikes again.

What happened to Paul George? I do not remember him being a doucher until that stupid prep rally he had when he decided to stay in OKC. Since then, he has done nothing but turn into a weak snatch.

After the Clippers chemistry problems and the fact that this team seems awkward as hell, why would a veteran player or someone looking to take less play for them? Maybe last season you could convince some players but why would anyone with a single brain cell think the Clippers is a better destination than the Lakers at this point other than if Steve Balmer promises them millions of Microsoft shares under the table?
