@puffyusaf#2 I respect the hell out of you. And I got no problem with what you said - in fact I agree with almost all of it.

I think that's how I thought I was going to feel when they lost, but to be honest, I'm focused on the Lakers winning it all. Maybe once that's done, I'll maybe start the trash talking up about the Clippers. But for now, I just don't feel any type of way about them. As a Laker fan, I never really care about other teams losing - even if they deserve all the criticism in the world. I can see why people are really happy about the Clippers losing, and to them, I salute y'all. I feel bad for Clippers FANS - I do NOT feel bad for the Clippers OR the media that hyped them. I know several life-long clippers fans that are just gutted right now - and they truly did not talk about "Clippers own LA" or exhibit an attitude of they're better than us. It was quite the opposite actually - they complained all year about the same issues that ultimately cost the CLippers the series. I can only speak to my personal experience here with Clippers fans - so don't take what I"m saying as a representation of ALL Clippers fans. I'm sure many of you encountered fake clippers fans that joined when PG/Kawhi came on board - and yes, there were plenty of those that were just laker haters that lived in CA and latched onto the Clippers once they got those guys. To those guys, I say F U. But to REAL clipppers fans that have been there since the Danny Manning days? The ROn Harper days? The Loy Vaught days? I feel BAD for them.

It seems to me that while C bag hate runs deep, it has seemed to have more historical roots. Clippers hate seems more personal. They have mouthed off in our city, in our very Sanctus Santorum - our house - our building. They have covered over our sacred banner, befouled our seats with their losing colors. They have ran their mouths with enough fertilizer to sow seeds of disgust and contempt within our equanimous fanhood.

This is all without them winning without any significance in the playoffs. I would say I do hate the Clippers and what they take from the table of basketball. We never hated GSW, we don't hate Miami. The Clippers are just not a class organization. We need to evict these interlopers, these squatters, we need to run them out of LA.

    I hear you Fab.

I don't have a ton of respect/disrespect for the people who call themselves Clipper fans. Talking crap to them is only fun but they really are, as a fanbase, insignificant in the big scheme. Even the team would be more just a "Clippers gone Clip" if it wasn't for, what I listed before, the Kwahi, PG and the rest of those clowns claiming the city that the Lakers built. That is where my joy comes from watching those clowns on that team crash and burn. Watching all the pundits eat crow. And, more importantly watching our boys continue to get better and push toward #17. The misery the JV team is feeling is... well.... amazing.

This should put to rest any "Battle of LA" discussions crap in the future.

News flash: THERE IS NO BATTLE OF L.A. THERE IS NO RIVALRY TO BEGIN WITH.

Just because they were going to the playoffs and the Lakers were not, and were winning head-to-head, they thought there was one. There is NONE. Never gave a rat's a** when we were winning, never when we weren't. Why? THEY HAVEN'T WON SQUAT.

These nincompoops should be embarrassed, but knowing these fools they're too stupid to be, and will continue this delusional narrative.

    :Adburn:you, effers!

But we all know, on Monday, it's going to be another day at the office for them, business as usual. And if people like Ballmer continue to shell out $$$ to move his narratives forward with the media, credibility would NOT matter at all.

You're not alone fabfourlakers in having empathy for Clipper Fan. Here is another Lakers fan who takes it a step further and actually apologizes to them, tracing that back to of all people Andrew Bynum. OK .... don't want to be guilty of bait and switch tactics here .... so honestly, reading between the lines, I don't think he really means this apology.

I'm very late to the party, but it's never too late to pile on to the paper Clipps demise and choke job.

I was torn. Part of me wanted for us to be team to put the dagger in their heart. It seemed like we were building towards this inevitable post season battle since opening night. There were so many captivating storylines that wrote themselves. But they couldn't get past the comeback kids and we were robbed of that one. So, having to settle for them choking, still not able to get out of the 2nd round, the infighting, Doc being put on the hot seat, the alleged greatness of Kawhi and their duo being knocked back down a few pegs. Not a bad consolation prize for us.

Biggest game they've had and they combined for a Westbrook shooting night. COMBINED. Absolutely nothing in the 4th. No one can ever compare that team or Kawhi to any all time great. There's not a single all time great who would play such pathetic ball in a 4th Q game 7.

Paulina had the nerve to lie to everyone and say they never expected this to be their year and they were built for the long road. Biggest pile of horse s*** from anyone who's not a politician. They had a 2 year window, now a 1 year window or it's all over. Kawhi and his broken down body will bolt to another better team. I'd love it if he begged to come to us and we told him to F off.

I'm looking forward to see them scramble to try to improve or even keep their FAs. They have limited assets since they gave away everything they had to get PG from OKC (loved seeing the stat that they gave up more picks to get him than FGS he made in game 7).

Plus, if we win we will have the vets lining up to sign with us for the min, they'll get scraps. After everyone has seen the difference culture and team camaraderie, especially in the bubble, I don't see us losing anyone we want to them.

A lot of people wanted a battle of LA, but I personally did not. The Flippers mean nothing to me beyond that they are another trash talking participant in the NBA that never wins anything.
