    I would bet cash money that if we were 7-0 and LeBron was averaging 15 points a game there would be PLENTY of complaining.

    Stats derived from other stats are often the troublemaking ones. Particularly when nobody could even tell you what exactly goes into them. Factual things like points, rebounds, assists are indisputable (though context is often king here). Things like PIPM, which are derived from advanced stats like RPM and RAPM, which in turn are derived from other stats, are often not worth the paper they are printed on, as they only carry meaning in the narrow context that they were defined in.

    Yeah maybe from others, but not me. And I am being 100% honest. I’d like to win. If Lebron averaging 15 gets us 7-0, I’ll take it. And let’s be real if we were 7-0, Lebron would still get the credit no matter what he averaged.

    It’s all good.

    I just want I set the expectations. But it’s great posters like yourself can show @Anon Inam that this isn’t Real GM, and on LB we’re pretty good at self evaluation and reigning it back/apologizing if we feel we went too far.

    Considering this is mythical money, I'd bet my house. :D

    You KNOW there'd be a national crisis about how LeBron has fallen off a cliff, he signed a long-term deal and got off the juice, he cares more about his media empire than basketball, good thing the Lakers kids are good or he'd be a bum, etc etc etc.

    I’d be thrilled. That would mean LeBron was coasting and we’d still beaten all these good teams, we’d be on track for the playoffs with a rested LeBron and the rest of our roster performing above expectations. Instead LeBron is averaging the 3rd most minutes in the league and we’re 2-5, so we’ve created a hole to crawl out of and LeBron will have to continue to play high minutes to give us a chance to do that.
