Clev wouldn't even need to give up the pick for PG and OKC would only do a PG trade if he doesn't mesh well with Westbrook and they're not winning as much as they hoped, 2 things I see very unlikely.

Well, this is for the pick. In the initial post I was talking about the Brooklyn pick as the real prize. The pick doesn't count as salary so I was just proposing how they'd make it work. If you're Presti and PG13 is making it quite clear he still intends to leave, you flip him for that pick. OKC is not going to attract free agents. If they could lock in a young stud with that Brooklyn pick, he's going to do it.

Really? Cleveland wouldn't need to give up the pick?

look at the junk OKC gave up for PG, why would Clev need to give up a prize like that Bk pick? Love/change should be plently enough, its not like PG is the difference in Clev beating GSW or not, they'll still lose to GSW regardless. Clev can use the same rational OKC did in giving up so little for PG, he's a FA and can go anywhere he wants, just cause he's Clev doesn't mean he is guranteed to stay either.

Lebron/IT/PG13/Love is enough where they can give the Warriors a run for their money.

Clev can't even play Love against GSW due to his horrendous D, just switch Lebron to C the same way GSW switches Green to C, IT/Smith/Crowder/PG/Lebron can play with the deathlineup, hell there's a good chance Wade joins the bunch too

It's probably as much value as the Cavs could get, so good for them I guess. I think Crowder will help them in the playoffs more than IT will. How is IT gonna be even half as effective with LLLLLBron, Rose, and probably Wade all needing the ball just as much as he does? Curry is licking his chops at the idea of IT guarding him in the Finals.

I liked Kyrie, but he is now dead to me.

This trade pretty much guarantees Lebron's leaving Cleveland.

Around the trade deadline, just like in years past Cleveland is going to know they're not as good as San Antonio or Golden State. Lebron will want to cash in that Nets 1st round pick and get some help to finish the year (hoping for a star). The Cavs are going to hang on to that pick because its their safety net if Lebron leaves. Going to be a very ugly exit.

If you asked the question did that trade help Cleveland improve to beat the Warriors? The answer is a strong No.
