If someone is going to say Kuzma is the ROY without mentioning the other rookies, I'm going to say something. If the award was given out today, it's Ben Simmons. I'm not going to assume Simmons is going to get hurt to prop up our kid. Kuzma is special and the ROY award really doesn't matter.

And yes it was fairly clear Brogdon would be ROY once Embiid got hurt. In fact they still tried to give it to Embiid. They'll do the same with Simmons.

Actually....Philly has been on the decline since we beat them. They're now 14-17, and if they don't make the playoffs and they end with a similar record to us, I don't see why Kuzma couldn't be ROY. The reason I thought simmons would get it easily was because the sixers LOOKED like a playoff team and were in contention while Simmons was putting up Godly numbers for a rookie. BUT if they miss the playoffs, things can get interesting. I'd put Tatum and Mitchell up there as well, especially Mitchell with what he's done out there in Utah (keeping them in the playoff race despite Gobert being out).

    Top 5 rookies right now:

    Simmons
    Kuzma
    Mitchell
    Tatum
    Markannen

I might put Lonzo up there as well with his play of late...

CBS Sports just came out with a rookie ranking and they have:
    1. Kuzma
    2. Simmons
    3. Ball
    4. Tatum
    5. The guy from Utah

Fox wasn’t in the top 10, and he wasn’t even on the bubble. But he did put up 39 on Lonzo in college. Pfft

I didn't realize Kyle scored 20+ in the last 3 games til it's been mentioned in Detroit's schedule.

Why? Kuzma is playing better than both.

A little worried Puke's gonna run him into an injury.

In the last few games maybe, but there's still 25+ other games where those players have outplayed him. Go watch Mitchell. The kid is a stud and he's doing more than any other rookie right now in terms of load and performance. Simmons is the most talented. Kuzma is the hottest right now.

I'm not trying to take away from Kuzma, but it's very unlikely he wins a meaningless ROY award.

Kuzma is the definition of Kobe mentality. He and Zo carried us into a 1 point lead in the 4th quarter down 22 points to fight at the end

Very efficient numbers on O, giving good effort on D. 27/14 in 15 shots? Not bad

Okay. This is the moral victory I'm willing to take. Other than those KCP bricks, pretty much how I envision our future plays are gonna be like.

JUST ONE EFFING STAR AWAY from becoming a legit playoff team dammit!
